Here's what Lehle have to say about the DC-Filter:

The Lehle DC Filter eliminates DC voltage from analog signals. Audio signals containing DC voltage cause ugly switching noise. Now, both line and high-impedance signals are cleaned – but with no loss of sound. The DC Filter is of full stereo type, and thus filters stereo – and, of course, mono – signals. This little aid can even process balanced signals. The Lehle DC Filter is a passive filter, so it needs no power supply.

Brand

Lehle

Lehle is a high-end manufacturer of guitar pedals, known for their precision engineering and sophisticated signal routing capabilities. The brand is highly regarded for its innovative designs, particularly in the realm of volume pedals and signal processors. Their products, such as the Lehle Mono Volume S and Lehle Parallel SW II, are favoured by musicians for their transparency, tonal clarity, and durability. The Mono Volume S, for example, offers a smooth operation with low friction bearings and a boost function that can enhance the gain for specific tones. It also features programmable presets, a USB-C socket for calibration and updates, and a buffered direct output, making it versatile and highly functional for modern pedalboards.

Lehle pedals are built with high-quality components, including discrete Class-A input stages, which contribute to their excellent dynamic range and ability to handle various instruments, from electric guitars to keyboards. Their use of true-bypass circuits and advanced switching technology ensures minimal signal loss, allowing musicians to maintain the integrity of their sound even when switching between effects.

Filter

A filter pedal shapes your tone by emphasising or cutting specific frequencies, letting you sculpt everything from subtle tonal shifts to bold, sweeping textures. Unlike traditional wah or envelope effects, filters can be static or controlled in different ways, giving you focused control over how bright, dark, sharp, or resonant your sound becomes.

Use a filter to tighten the low end, tame harsh highs, or create synth-like sweeps and rhythmic movement. Whether you’re refining your core tone or pushing into experimental territory, a filter pedal gives you precise control over the flavour of your sound.
