Here's what Old Blood Noise say about the Alpha Haunt Streamlined Fuzz:

Two years after the pedal’s initial release, OBNE’s highly-regarded Alpha Haunt Fuzz is getting a makeover for 2021! Now in a more pedalboard-friendly package, the Alpha Haunt continues to offer users its uniquely versatile control set and explores the vast variety of sounds you can coax from its fuzz circuit. From open overdrives to squashed sputters, it’s all here and then some!

Key Features

  • Highly tweakable fuzz pedal – endless worlds of fuzz at your disposal
  • Updated circuitry and features with a more compact footprint
  • Switchable fuzz range, bias and tone control voices for further options
  • 3-band active master EQ sliders – perfect your place in the mix with full control over lows, mids and highs
  • Clean blend via Enhance control – retains string clarity and low-end response
  • Switchable Low-Pass Filter
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU  (centre -, 2.1mm, ~36mA current draw)

Alpha Haunt is a Fuzz. That seems simple enough on the surface. Alpha Haunt also has twelve controls. OK, perhaps not then. However, these controls are highly interactive and most of the fuzz buzzwords are here; huge and sustaining, gated and sputtering, mid scooped/boosted, bright, dark, warm, chimey, ultimate clarity, utter lack of clarity, heavy, zippery, chuddy, splitty, [INSERT ANY FUZZ TERM OF YOUR CHOOSING]… – anyway, you get the point.

With variable control over fuzz gain, compression and the overall tone to set your base fuzz sound, Alpha Haunt also comes with switchable fuzz distortion range, bias, low pass filter. These react interactively with the Tone control and a parallel Enhance circuit. Used on its own the Enhance circuit acts as a clean boost, but dialed in alongside the Fuzz Volume, it brings in body and clarity. An active three-band master EQ lets you shape the output signal tonally.

Freely craft your fuzz sounds using the Fuzz (Gain), Fuzz Volume and the massive three-band master EQ slider controls, then adjust the output to your needs with the independent Master volume control.

With the Alpha Haunt, the whole pack of Fuzz tones is at your disposal. You are the alpha now!

Tasty Pedals made by Old Blood Noise Endeavors

Old Blood Noise Endeavors is a pedal manufacturer known for its creative and unconventional effects. Their pedals are designed to push the boundaries of traditional sound, often combining distortion, delay, and modulation effects in innovative ways. One example is their *Beam Splitter* pedal, which takes a single input signal and splits it into three different versions with varying delay times and overdrive tones. This results in a larger, more textured sound, ideal for those looking to create unique sonic landscapes. Their pedals also feature expressive controls such as Deviate, which introduces natural variations to delay times for a more organic feel. Old Blood Noise Endeavors is also recognized for its distinctive pedal designs and collaboration with various artists, showcasing their commitment to producing high-quality, experimental tools for musicians. Their pedals are popular for both live performances and studio work, offering a range of effects from fuzz to reverb, each with a creative twist. This brand stands out for its bold approach to sound manipulation, making it a favourite among experimental musicians and those seeking to expand their sonic palette.

Just Pedal Ingredients.

Endeavors. Fuzz — A fuzz pedal is one of the earliest and most aggressive forms of distortion, turning your clean guitar signal into a thick, saturated wall of sound. It works by clipping the waveform almost flat, creating a compressed, gritty tone full of harmonic overtones. The result is raw, unruly, and unmistakable — from the sputtering breakup of vintage germanium circuits to the searing sustain of modern silicon designs. Fuzz pedals react strongly to your guitar’s volume and pickup choice, making them dynamic tools for expressive players. Whether you’re chasing the classic tones of Hendrix and the Smashing Pumpkins or exploring heavy, experimental textures, fuzz remains a favourite for its personality and unpredictability. It can sound smooth and sustaining, or wild and velcro-like, depending on how it’s set up. A good fuzz pedal cuts through the mix while adding thickness and attitude, turning any riff or lead line into something bold and unmistakably alive.. Noise. Pedal — Your pedal is like a signature dish for your sound — a flavour-packed creation that transforms the bland ingredients of your guitar into something unforgettable. Each one adds its own seasoning, texture, and heat, turning a simple meal into a feast of tone. These tasty little boxes sit in a row, like plates on a buffet, letting you mix and match flavours as you play. With one tap of your foot, you can swap sweet for spicy, subtle for smoky, and serve up something completely new. From the comfort food of warm overdrive to the fiery kick of fuzz, from smooth jazz sauce to heavy-metal spice, pedals give players a full menu of options to express their taste.  And just like with food — once you’ve tried one dish, you’ll want to sample them all. Collecting, trading, and discovering new flavours soon becomes part of the joy of being a tone-loving gourmet geek with a guitar..
