Jam Pedal’s analogue Delay Llama could be the closest thing to the perfect single pedal delay. It’s, durable, looks great and of course, produces a truly organic delay that will rival any fancy digital concoction.

The clean three-control layout makes it easy to dial in a warm, natural tape echo effect. And with 600ms of max delay, there’s plenty of wiggle room to experiment with different creative formulas.

Even better yet is the soft click switching, a great feature if you’re playing intimate shows. Simple, but oh so highly effective.

New Features to MK3

  • Tap tempo / HOLD function
  • 3-way-toggle switch for Tap Tempo subdivisions
  • Trails or true bypass option

Here's what Jam Pedals say about the Delay Llama:

The Delay Llama is a tone machine that will become an indispensable part of your sound adding warmth and depth through organic repeats which seamlessly integrate into your playing, courtesy of its BBD chips, faithful reproductions of the Panasonic MN3205.

Its straight forward traditional 3-knob layout is addressed to delay users who are looking to elegantly enhance their hard-earned tone, similarly to how a tape-echo machine would.

  • The Delay Llama can also be used with bass guitars.
  • Maximum delay time: 600 ms
  • The Delay Llama features soft-click (relay) switching.

ARTISTS QUOTES

“…it’s the quality of the sound that will beat any digital delay!” – Vintage Guitar magazine

“I used the Delay Llama on this last tour, and not only to produce vintage sounding slap backs ! Also: light and durable: important for me!” – Marc Ribot

“I quickly dialed up a Rockabilly slap back that sounded very organic – very similar like my old tape Echoplex (without the squeaking analog tape!). Usually getting a slap back echo is tricky, especially on my Line 6, but because of the 3 knob design, I quickly got the setting. And it’s the best I’ve ever heard. I proceeded to getting some deep space sounds easily too. My girlfriend can borrow my Line 6, I’m converting to Delay Llama!” – Jim Campilongo

“Around 1980 many of us got into bucket brigade delays, little analog echo boxes. They were a lot less trouble than tape and disc echos. I loved them and the sound imprinted in my mind. Then digital arrived, and as we played with the magical bells and whistles, we sl

Jam Pedals is a boutique effects pedal company based in Greece, known for its hand-crafted, high-quality pedals that offer vintage-inspired tones with modern versatility. Founded by a team of musicians and engineers, Jam Pedals has gained a reputation for creating unique and expressive sound-shaping tools. Their pedals, such as the Rattler Distortion, the Delay Llama, and the Harmonious Monk, are praised for their tonal richness, intuitive controls, and musicality. With a focus on craftsmanship and exceptional tone, Jam Pedals is a favourite among guitarists looking for boutique, analog-driven effects that stand out both sonically and aesthetically.

Analogue

An analogue guitar effect pedal is a device used by guitarists to modify the sound of an electric guitar through the use of analogue circuitry.

Unlike digital pedals, which rely on digital signal processing, analogue pedals use components such as transistors, capacitors, and resistors to manipulate the guitar signal in real-time.

This approach often results in a warmer, more natural sound that many musicians find desirable for its organic qualities.

Delay

A delay pedal is used to create an echo effect by repeating the original sound after a short time. It works by capturing the input signal and then replaying it with adjustable delay time and feedback. The longer the delay time and the more feedback, the more pronounced the repeating echo becomes, adding depth and space to the sound.

There are different types of delay pedals, including analogue, digital, and tape delay. Analog delay provides a warmer, more natural echo, while digital delay offers clear, precise repeats and additional features like tap tempo. Tape delay mimics the sound of vintage tape machines, adding a distinctive, slightly warbled effect. Delay pedals are widely used across genres to create atmosphere, enhance solos, or add complexity to rhythms.

Pedals

Guitar pedals, also known as stompboxes, are external effects units that modify a guitar’s signal when activated. They come in various types, including distortion, overdrive, delay, reverb, modulation, EQ, compression, and synth effects, each shaping the tone in different ways. Pedals are typically placed on a pedalboard and powered by batteries or an external power supply. They can be connected in series for a custom signal chain, allowing guitarists to create unique sounds. Popular pedal brands include Boss, Electro-Harmonix, Strymon, MXR, and EarthQuaker Devices, offering effects for every genre, from blues and rock to ambient and experimental music.
