The Maestro Comet Chorus pedal uses iconic analogue bucket brigade device (BBD) technology to deliver warm, classic chorus tones. This pedal boasts a Mode toggle switch for increased sonic versatility. The Earth mode provides an optimised, shimmering chorus effect. While the Orbit mode adds some amplitude modulation to the chorused sound, to more accurately simulate the sonic complexities of a rotary speaker. An internal trim pot lets you adjust the level of the rotary speaker Orbit effect to taste.

An intuitive 3-knob control layout gives you the ability to quickly dial up the Depth (amount of pitch variation), Speed (modulation rate) of the chorusing, and adjust the amount of pitch modulated signal that is blended in with the dry signal by using the Mix control.

Key Features

  • Controls: Depth, Mix, Speed and internal Orbit amount trim pot.
  • Internal Trim Pot: The internal trim pot labelled Orbit allows the user to adjust the amount of the rotary speaker-style effect that is blended into the sound when the Mode switch is in the Orbit position. Using a small screwdriver, turn clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease the amount of the Orbit effect.
  • Switches: True Bypass footswitch and Orbit/Earth Mode toggle switch.
  • LED Indicators: Red, yellow and blue bugles in the Maestro logo illuminate when the pedal is active.

Pitch

Pitch pedals alter the frequency of your guitar signal, changing the perceived note or adding harmony. They can shift notes up or down by fixed intervals, create harmonies, or produce dive-bomb and whammy-style effects without a tremolo arm. Pitch shifters and harmonisers are great for thickening solos, simulating multiple guitars, or experimenting with creative, otherworldly sounds that expand your tonal range.

Rotary

Rotary pedals recreate the swirling, moving sound of a rotating speaker cabinet, adding rich modulation and a sense of motion to guitar tones. They typically simulate the changing pitch and volume caused by spinning speakers, producing anything from subtle shimmer to deep, pulsating swirl. Rotary effects are often used for clean and lightly driven sounds to add depth, movement, and a classic, organ-inspired character.
