The MXR Joshua Ambient Echo is a gateway into iconic soundscapes, from tonal trips out of the ’60s and ’70s to ethereal cathedral-like ambience.

In the past, you needed a whole rack processor get the tones contained, but this pedal comes with everything you need to design your own path leading into the sonic universe, all in a modern and user-friendly format—and it’s already dialed in and ready to go!

Set the Rhythm with Tap Tempo

The footswitch can also be used as a tap tempo switch to set the rhythm of your primary repeats. Press and hold for 1 second to engage tap tempo mode, and then tap your desired rhythm.

The M309 Joshua Ambient Echo is the MXR home effect pedal capable of reproducing the ambient atmospheres typical of the 60s, 70s and 80s by mixing two echos and one modulation. With the Division control you can select the time of primary repetitions, adding secondary to 1/4 of the time with the Echo 2 knob. The Mod control adjusts the intensity of the modulation, while the Voice knob manages the octave mix (-1, +1, +2). Pressing the Trails button continues delay even after deactivating the pedal. The Echo 2 control adds a series of 1/4 repeats that can be adjusted through advanced settings.
