Building on the inimitable Black Fountain, a pedal that put OBNE on the map and for many a favourite always-on device, Black Fountain Stereo is much more than just turning things from mono into stereo. It truly expands Old Blood Noise Endeavors’ highly regarded ‘oil-can delay’ pedal right into a multi-tool.

With a wider control set that’s complete with added sonic options, a lower noise floor, dual delay lines that play together in a multitude of ways, presets, MIDI and expression control over everything, Black Fountain Stereo combines a sonic powerhouse of creative delay tones and into a pedalboard-friendly package.

Key Features

  • Characterful ‘oil-can delay’ pedal
  • Stereo input and output, with the option for Mono or Mono-in-Stereo-out routing
  • Analog dry through
  • Onboard Presets, plus control via MIDI
  • Selectable Buffered Trails or True Bypass modes

Oil-Can Delay

Black Fountain Stereo emulates the sound of a spinning oil-can delay. This is a warm, modulated and a little gritty type of tone that’s perfect for chorusing, doubling, slap back and long rhythmic delays alike. You choose the amount and rate of modulation, the tone and grit of the core voice, the two delay times and their feedback. Plus, to top it off the mono/stereo voicing of it all can be set exactly as you like and everything can be saved into presets, for easy recall.

Controls

The Rate and Depth controls set the amount of modulation and speed, Tone shapes the warmth of the repeats, while Grit sets the amount of drive in the repeats. To help maintain the clarity of your tone or for more special effects, you can set the mix of volume of either the Dry and/or Wet levels. Space defines the mono delay mode or stereo width and adds diffusion past the noon position.

Separate controls are available for setting the Left and Right Delay Time as well as being able to choose between six subdivisions for each side when holding the Tap footswitch. That little Tap switch (surprise) helps you set the delay repeats in time with your tempo, while holding it down will give for infinite feedback. Optionally, it can also be used as a preset switcher.

Tasty Pedals made by Old Blood Noise

Old Blood Noise Endeavors is a pedal manufacturer known for their experimental and innovative designs that cater to musicians looking to explore unique sound textures. Their pedals, such as the Sunlight Dynamic Reverb and Beam Splitter Triple Distortion, are built to offer more than just standard effects. The Sunlight, for example, allows users to manipulate reverb trails with dynamic sensitivity, and its three modes offer tape modulation, delay stacking, and bandpass filtering to create evolving soundscapes. Meanwhile, the Beam Splitter offers a creative approach by duplicating a signal into three, each with different overdrive voices and delay times, perfect for creating complex, multi-layered effects.Old Blood Noise’s pedals are designed to push boundaries in terms of sound exploration, often blending delay, reverb, distortion, and modulation in unconventional ways. Their commitment to creating atmospheres and textures makes them a go-to for musicians who are not just seeking effects, but a way to shape their music with unique, evolving tones. The pedals are also designed with hands-on control in mind, offering external expression jack options and flexible output configurations.

    Just Pedal Ingredients.

Delay — A delay pedal records your signal and plays it back after a set time, creating echoes that can range from tight, slapback repeats to long, atmospheric trails. It’s one of the most versatile effects, used to thicken tones, add rhythmic depth, or build spacious, ambient layers. Analogue delays offer warm, decaying repeats that blend naturally with your tone, while digital units provide pristine echoes with precise control over time, feedback, and mix levels. From classic rockabilly and tape-style echoes to modern looping and shimmer effects, delay pedals have become essential tools for shaping sound. They can make solos soar, rhythms pulse, or transform simple chord progressions into cinematic textures. Whether used subtly to add dimension or boldly to create soundscapes, a good delay pedal can completely redefine the feel and atmosphere of your music.. Expression — Expression pedals allow real-time control over specific parameters on compatible guitar pedals, such as volume, delay time, modulation depth, or filter sweep. Used with an expression input, they let players shape effects dynamically with their foot, adding movement and performance control that cannot be achieved with fixed knob settings.. Guitar Pedals — Your pedal is like a signature dish for your sound — a flavour-packed creation that transforms the bland ingredients of your guitar into something unforgettable. Each one adds its own seasoning, texture, and heat, turning a simple meal into a feast of tone. These tasty little boxes sit in a row, like plates on a buffet, letting you mix and match flavours as you play. With one tap of your foot, you can swap sweet for spicy, subtle for smoky, and serve up something completely new. From the comfort food of warm overdrive to the fiery kick of fuzz, from smooth jazz sauce to heavy-metal spice, pedals give players a full menu of options to express their taste.  And just like with food, once you’ve tried one dish, you’ll want to sample them all.Collecting, trading, and discovering new flavours soon becomes part of the joy of being a tone-loving gourmet geek with a guitar.. MIDI — MIDI pedals use the Musical Instrument Digital Interface standard to communicate with other guitar pedals, effects units, and hardware. They allow control over presets, parameters, and switching across multiple devices from a single controller. MIDI integration makes it possible to build complex, synchronised pedal setups while keeping control simple and consistent.. New — This is brand new, fresh in, and a UK warranty is included. New Gear always comes from trusted UK music retailers.. power supply. Switcher — Switcher refers to a guitar pedal or pedalboard unit that allows multiple pedals or signal paths to be controlled from a single device. A switcher can turn several pedals on or off at once, change signal order, or recall preset combinations, helping players manage complex pedal setups cleanly and reliably, especially in live situations.. used. Volume — Volume pedals control the output level of a guitar signal using a foot-operated treadle. They allow smooth volume swells, dynamic control during playing, and easy muting between songs. Volume pedals can be placed at different points in the signal chain to either control overall loudness or adjust gain and drive behaviour when positioned before distortion or overdrive pedals..
