Old Blood Noise Endeavors presents Pardner – a whacky yet extremely versatile fuzz pedal with unique tonal qualities, providing a suite of gnarly drivenness at the stomp of just two footswitches.

The pedal’s core fuzz voice gives resonant, warbling saturation with a synthy edge. Playing nicely anywhere in the signal chain and with a wide set of controls, this fuzz opens up new textures compared to your usual fuzzy go-tos. However, when paired with Pardner’s built-in clean to medium gain overdrive effects loop (“Lasso”), you can add further textures to this already otherworldly dirt device, plus you can rope in your own effects alongside the fuzz. Try an envelope filter, a reverb, another fuzz, anything you like! The Order switch also allows for different routings of the two sections or even for both in parallel, for a world of unheard-of tones.

Rip a solo or some massive chords or heck, run your drums through it – we’re not here to tell you how to Pardner.

Brand

Old Blood Noise Endeavors

Old Blood Noise Endeavors is a pedal manufacturer known for its creative and unconventional effects. Their pedals are designed to push the boundaries of traditional sound, often combining distortion, delay, and modulation effects in innovative ways. One example is their *Beam Splitter* pedal, which takes a single input signal and splits it into three different versions with varying delay times and overdrive tones. This results in a larger, more textured sound, ideal for those looking to create unique sonic landscapes. Their pedals also feature expressive controls such as Deviate, which introduces natural variations to delay times for a more organic feel.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors is also recognized for its distinctive pedal designs and collaboration with various artists, showcasing their commitment to producing high-quality, experimental tools for musicians. Their pedals are popular for both live performances and studio work, offering a range of effects from fuzz to reverb, each with a creative twist. This brand stands out for its bold approach to sound manipulation, making it a favourite among experimental musicians and those seeking to expand their sonic palette.

Fuzz Pedals

Fuzz drives the signal into extreme clipping, often flattening the waveform and generating a thick spectrum of harmonics. Transistor type, bias, input loading and tone filtering create markedly different responses, from loose and velvety to gated, spluttering or octave-rich. Some circuits interact strongly with pickup impedance and guitar volume, while others include buffers or blends for a more consistent response.

Tags

Bass

Voiced or equipped to retain low-frequency fundamentals and the higher headroom of a bass signal. Clean blends, crossovers and bass-specific filter ranges can preserve weight and articulation while the effected portion adds harmonics, movement or ambience.

Vocal

Designed for microphone-level signals and the frequency, dynamics and feedback behaviour of the human voice. Input gain, balanced connections, phantom power and pitch tracking may be provided so effects respond correctly before the signal reaches a mixer or PA.
