Loopers & Switchers

Loopers and switchers help organise repeated phrases or the order of effects in a pedalboard. A looper records and plays audio, while a switcher routes pedals in and out of the signal path, often with presets, MIDI or relay-based switching. The distinction matters when planning a board: audio loopers need memory and timing features, whereas switchers need compatible loops, control outputs and suitable cable runs. Check signal buffering, parallel paths, preset recall, bypass behaviour and the number of loops required for the intended setup.
