Description

The JFET Transistor Boost Pedal has been designed to give you an elevated, refined and tonally enhanced sound produced from their boost circuit. The JFET circuit has three modes, N for “normal,” where a typical boost might sit in terms of frequency response. “F” adds a fatter sound, whereas “X” mode flattens the circuit all the way down to below 10Hz, giving you an incredible feeling of weight without having added artificial EQ. The extension in the frequency response also tightens the phase and gives you an incredible, solid feel. The L control sets the level, it’s a fader after the boost circuit and before the output driver.

This transistor pedal can be used after a buffer or input driver, as well as functioning as an always-on input driver at the start of your pedalboard, giving you plenty of tonal options. It has been constructed to give you a heavy feel, with plenty of headroom, making it work perfectly fine at the end of your rig too. If you’re looking to elevate your tone with a weighty sound that versatilely in your rig, then look no further than the JFET Transistor Boost pedal.

About 29 Pedals

We have new and used 29 Pedals gear available on our website for fast direct delivery direct to you from across sellers in all areas of the USA & UK.

29 Pedals is a boutique pedal company known for its high-quality, ultra-low-noise signal processors designed to enhance clarity and tone without unwanted colouration. Founded by Jesse Honig, the brand prioritises precision engineering, premium components, and innovative circuitry, making their pedals a favourite among professional musicians and tone purists. Their flagship products, such as the EUNA and FLWR, focus on buffering, impedance matching, and signal integrity, ensuring that every nuance of a player’s sound is preserved.

Boost

A boost pedal is used to increase the overall volume or gain of an instrument’s signal, typically without adding distortion or altering the tone drastically. It’s commonly used to push the amp into overdrive, making solos stand out or increasing the power of the signal for a more pronounced sound. Boost pedals can also be used to emphasise specific frequencies, helping the instrument cut through the mix during performances.

There are different types of boost pedals, such as clean boost and colored boost. Clean boost preserves the natural tone of the instrument while increasing the volume, whereas colored boost can alter the sound slightly, adding warmth, presence, or a subtle tonal shift. Popular boost pedals include models from Xotic, Electro-Harmonix, and TC Electronic, each offering different features like EQ controls, low noise, and transparency, allowing players to tailor their boost to fit their unique playing style.

Pedal

A pedal is an electronic device that alters the sound of an electric guitar by applying various effects. Pedals are typically connected in a series between the guitar and amplifier, allowing guitarists to switch effects on and off with their feet while playing.

This enables musicians to quickly and easily change their sound, adding versatility and creativity to their performances.

Pedals are essential tools in many musical genres, including rock, blues, jazz, and metal, allowing artists to craft distinctive and dynamic soundscapes.

Once you buy one, you can’t stop and then you have to sell them and buy more.

Pedals

Guitar pedals, also known as stompboxes, are external effects units that modify a guitar’s signal when activated. They come in various types, including distortion, overdrive, delay, reverb, modulation, EQ, compression, and synth effects, each shaping the tone in different ways. Pedals are typically placed on a pedalboard and powered by batteries or an external power supply. They can be connected in series for a custom signal chain, allowing guitarists to create unique sounds. Popular pedal brands include Boss, Electro-Harmonix, Strymon, MXR, and EarthQuaker Devices, offering effects for every genre, from blues and rock to ambient and experimental music.
