Ashdown's 'The Newt' is a super-compact guitar amp designed for pedalboards. Delivering 200-watts of pure clean headroom, 'The Newt' is surprisingly powerful. 'The Newt' can drive a combination of cabinets with a minimum load of 4 Ohms – simply bring your guitar and your pedalboard to the next gig for an ultra-portable set up!

Made with modern players in mind, the Ashdown 'The Newt' is great for touring musicians who wish to make their rigs lighter and easier to manage – eliminating the uncertainty that backline amps can bring.

Core Tones At Your Feet

Essentially, Ashdown's 'The Newt' allows you to have your core guitar tones and signal chain quite literally at your feet. Working superbly with external pedals, modellers and multi-effects units; 'The Newt' offers enough control on its own too with a flexible 3-band EQ section and a scoop preset that allows you to sculpt the optimal guitar sound.

Go Direct

Although the Ashdown 'The Newt' pedalboard guitar amp can be connected to dedicated cabinets, there is also a balanced XLR D.I. output. This enables you to run straight into a front-of-house PA system; delivering huge Ashdown tone directly to the sound desk. Alternatively, you could run the unit into an audio interface for direct recording – meaning that you won't have to mic up anything!

Modern Features

'The Newt' boasts a headphone output that allows you to silently practice with all the tonal perks that come with an Ashdown amp. Ashdown's 'The Newt' also automatically adjusts its power requirement from 110v through to 240v. This means that you can simply plug in and play anywhere – no matter what country the next show is in.

Pedalboards

Pedalboards keep your effects organised, protected and ready to use, whether you have a small home setup or a full live rig. A good board makes it easier to arrange pedals in the right order, manage cables neatly and transport everything without rebuilding your setup each time.

The right pedalboard depends on the number of pedals you use, the size of your power supply and how often you move your gear. Even a simple board can make practice, recording and gigging feel more reliable and professional.

Preamp & Amp Sim Pedals,

Amp and cab simulator pedals recreate the sound and response of guitar amplifiers, speaker cabinets and microphones in a compact pedal format. They are useful for recording direct, practising silently, running straight into a PA, or building a pedalboard that does not rely on a traditional amp.

Many amp and cab sims include different amplifier voices, impulse responses, EQ controls and headphone outputs. They are a strong choice for modern guitarists who need consistent tone at home, in the studio and on stage without carrying heavy amplifiers and speaker cabinets.
