The Valeton VDS-2d is a powerful dual modulation pedal that’s ready to inject movement, depth and character into your sound. Part of Valeton’s dual-footswitch series, it packs six high-quality modulation effects into one compact stompbox that won’t break the bank, with two independent effect engines and true stereo I/O to boot. Better still, all six modes can be freely combined, making it easy to create everything from subtle texture and shimmer to rich, immersive soundscapes. Flexible routing, easy control Designed with versatility in mind, the Valeton VDS-2d lets you run its dual modulation sections in either series or parallel, opening up a huge range of creative possibilities. Each section supports Tap Tempo for perfectly synced effects, while the straightforward control layout makes shaping your sound quick and easy. In short: the VDS-2d puts plenty of power at your feet! Built for modern players Under the hood, a pro-grade digital processing platform delivers clean, transparent tones with impressive clarity and dynamic response. A genuine bypass circuit preserves your core sound when the pedal is disengaged, making sure your signal stays pure and natural. Housed in a rugged enclosure that’s ready for life on the road, the VDS-2d is equally at home on stage, in the studio or as part of your everyday practice setup. Intuitive controls SPD 1: Adjusts the modulation rate of the left Mod 1 effect. Depth 1: Controls the modulation depth of the left Mod 1 effect. Morph 1: In Series mode, this knob adjusts the mix (dry/wet ratio) parameter of Mod 1. In Parallel mode, Morph 1 tweaks the final blend ratio between Mod 1 and Mod 2. SPD 2: Adjusts the modulation rate of the right Mod 2 effect. Depth 2: Determines the modulation depth of the right Mod 2 effect. Morph 2: This is a modulation controller for the Mod 2 effect type. Its function varies depending on the currently selected Mod effect. Mod 1 type selection: From top to bottom: Flanger/Chorus/Phaser. Mod 2 type selection: From top to bottom: Rotary/Filter/Tremolo. Series/Parallel switch: Changes the routing of the two modulation effects. Up for Series, down for Parallel. Mod 1 & 2 footswitches: Short tap = modulation on/off (indicator ring flashes blue at SPD rate). Long tap = Tap Tempo (ring flashes green at tapped tempo). Key Features Dual-engine digital stompbox: The VDS-2d is a powerful modulation workstation loaded with six high-quality effects across two independent, freely combinable engines. Series and parallel modes: Switch freely between series and parallel routing to unlock a huge range of modulation sounds and textures. True stereo inputs and outputs: Perfect for stereo rigs, modeller setups and players who want the biggest, widest sounds possible. Tap Tempo function: Available on both modulation channels for perfectly synced effects. Authentic bypass circuit: Preserves your core tone when the pedal is disengaged, keeping your signal clear, natural and uncoloured. USB port: Connect to a computer for convenient firmware updates and future feature enhancements. Sturdy enclosure: Built to withstand the rigours of regular gigging, rehearsals and life on the road. Specifications Power Requirements: 9V DC (5.5 x 2.1 mm plug, centre-negative) Current Draw: 300 mA Dimensions (L x W x H): 100 x 96 x 45 mm Weight: 449 g

Valeton
Valeton grew out of a team with more than a decade of experience designing and building musical-instrument products for other brands, then developed its own range of performance-focused gear. Its line spans compact stompboxes, combined effects, loopers, pedal switchers and modelling processors. The GP-200 is a detailed example: Valeton specifies more than 140 amp and cabinet simulations, over 100 stompbox effects, USB audio, MIDI and an expression pedal. JustPedals also lists the VLP-200 stereo looper and EP-2 Surge expression pedal. Valeton’s strengths are easiest to judge by the specific platform and connections, not the word “pedal” alone.
Category
Modulation Pedals
Modulation changes a signal through a continuously moving control source. This broad category covers effects that alter delay time, phase, pitch, amplitude or filtering to create rotation, movement and evolving texture when no narrower effect family is dominant. Waveform, rate, depth, stereo phase and control routing determine the shape and spatial behaviour of that movement.
Tags
Digital
Converts the signal or control process into numerical data for algorithmic processing. Digital designs can provide precise timing, long memory, complex routing and repeatable presets; sample rate, conversion, internal resolution and latency influence fidelity and response.
Stereo
Processes, creates or passes two audio channels. True stereo preserves separate left and right inputs, while mono-to-stereo effects generate spatial differences internally; routing, phase behaviour and whether trails remain stereo determine the resulting image. Some outputs sum to mono when only one socket is connected, which can change level or modulation depth.
Tap Tempo
Measures repeated foot taps and converts their interval into an effect rate or delay time. Subdivisions translate that pulse into dotted, triplet or other rhythmic values, while averaging and range limits influence how quickly and accurately the tempo settles.
