The Valeton VDS-3d Dual Pitch-Shifter packs powerful harmony and pitch-shifting effects into a compact, gig-ready pedal that won’t break the bank. Featuring two independently adjustable harmony engines, it lets you blend and balance your dry and effected signals with precision, making it easy to craft everything from subtle thickening to huge, layered guitar tones. With true stereo connectivity, flexible routing options and a dual-footswitch design, it’s built to slot seamlessly into a wide range of pedalboard setups. Creative pitch-shifting at your feet Alongside classic pitch-shifting sounds, the VDS-3d offers three unique transition styles that open the door to more expressive and experimental effects. Dedicated Rise and Fall controls let you dial in how quickly your pitch-shifted notes fade in or out, while the handy CTRL footswitch gives you instant access to these transitions during performance. Whether you’re after smooth swells, dramatic dives or synth-like textures, there’s plenty here to play with. Natural tracking, stage-ready design Powered by Valeton’s advanced digital processing tech, the VDS-3d delivers natural-sounding harmonies, responsive tracking and excellent dynamic sensitivity. Housed in a rugged chassis and equipped with true bypass switching to preserve your core tone, it’s equally at home on stage, in the studio or part of your practice rig. If you’re looking to explore harmonised lead lines, creative pitch effects and modern sound design, the VDS-3d has all the tools you need.Key Features Dual-engine digital stompbox: Powerful pitch-shifting and harmony effects in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. Valeton
Valeton grew out of a team with more than a decade of experience designing and building musical-instrument products for other brands, then developed its own range of performance-focused gear. Its line spans compact stompboxes, combined effects, loopers, pedal switchers and modelling processors. The GP-200 is a detailed example: Valeton specifies more than 140 amp and cabinet simulations, over 100 stompbox effects, USB audio, MIDI and an expression pedal. JustPedals also lists the VLP-200 stereo looper and EP-2 Surge expression pedal. Valeton’s strengths are easiest to judge by the specific platform and connections, not the word “pedal” alone.
Category
Specialist Effects Pedals
Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.
Tags
Digital
Converts the signal or control process into numerical data for algorithmic processing. Digital designs can provide precise timing, long memory, complex routing and repeatable presets; sample rate, conversion, internal resolution and latency influence fidelity and response.
Pitch
Moves the detected note to another interval or adds shifted voices alongside it. Tracking method, polyphonic capability, latency, scale awareness and formant handling determine whether the result follows chords naturally or produces a more synthetic, stepped character.
Stereo
Processes, creates or passes two audio channels. True stereo preserves separate left and right inputs, while mono-to-stereo effects generate spatial differences internally; routing, phase behaviour and whether trails remain stereo determine the resulting image. Some outputs sum to mono when only one socket is connected, which can change level or modulation depth.
True Bypass
Connects input directly to output through mechanical or relay switching when the effect is off, removing the active circuit from the audio path. It avoids buffer colour but leaves cable capacitance and switching design to influence high-frequency loss and possible switching noise.
