Combining a versatile digital delay with lush, atmospheric reverb, the Valeton VDS-1d is the only ambient pedal you’ll need on your pedalboard. Featuring stereo inputs and outputs, flexible bypass options and an intuitive dual-footswitch layout, it’s designed to make shaping expansive sounds effortless. Whether you’re adding subtle depth to your tone or building huge cinematic soundscapes, this compact stompbox packs a huge amount of functionality into a budget-friendly package. Six inspiring ambient effects With three classic delay voices and three high-quality reverb modes on tap, the Valeton VDS-1d gives you plenty of room to experiment. Want even more atmosphere? Simply engage the Shimmer function to add sparkling upper harmonics to your reverb trails, creating rich, layered textures that are perfect for ambient playing, clean guitar parts and soaring lead lines. Powerful performance features Despite its straightforward layout, the VDS-1d is packed with advanced functionality. Tap tempo lets you lock your delays perfectly to the music, while the Freeze function sustains your effects for immersive sound-on-sound textures. Under the hood, sophisticated digital processing delivers natural dynamics, detailed repeats and realistic reverb tails, making the VDS-1d an ideal companion for modern guitarists looking to craft inspiring spatial tones. Flexible controls Decay: Adjusts the decay time of the reverb effect. Filter: Sets the brightness/warmth of the reverb sound. R-Mix: Controls the mix ratio between the reverb wet signal and the dry signal. Time/Div: When Tap Tempo is not activated (left footswitch not long pressed), this adjusts the delay time. After long pressing the left footswitch to enter Tap Tempo mode, this tweaks the delay note subdivision. FB: Adjusts the number of delay feedback repeats. D-Mix: Dials in the mix ratio between the delay wet signal and the dry signal. RVB mode: Selects the reverb effect type. From top to bottom: Hall/Plate/Spring. Shimmer switch: Lets you add the Shimmer effect to the reverb. Norm position is standard mode. DLY mode: Chooses the delay effect type. From top to bottom: Digital/Analogue/Tape. Key Features Dual-engine digital stompbox: The Valeton VDS-1d is an ambient workstation featuring three high-quality delay and reverb tones. Independently controllable Shimmer effect: Add sparkling upper harmonics to your reverb trails for rich, ambient textures. True stereo inputs and outputs: Perfect for stereo rigs, modeller setups and players who want the widest possible sound. Long-press functions: For delay Tap Tempo and experimental reverb Freeze effects. Authentic bypass circuit: Preserves your core tone when the pedal is disengaged, keeping your signal clear and natural. USB port: Connect to a computer for convenient firmware updates and future enhancements. Sturdy enclosure: Built to withstand the rigours of regular gigging, rehearsals and life on the road. Specifications Power Requirements: 9V DC (5.5 x 2.1 mm plug, centre-negative) Current Draw: 300 mA Dimensions (L x W x H): 100 x 96 x 45 mm Weight: 449 g

Valeton
Valeton grew out of a team with more than a decade of experience designing and building musical-instrument products for other brands, then developed its own range of performance-focused gear. Its line spans compact stompboxes, combined effects, loopers, pedal switchers and modelling processors. The GP-200 is a detailed example: Valeton specifies more than 140 amp and cabinet simulations, over 100 stompbox effects, USB audio, MIDI and an expression pedal. JustPedals also lists the VLP-200 stereo looper and EP-2 Surge expression pedal. Valeton’s strengths are easiest to judge by the specific platform and connections, not the word “pedal” alone.

Delay & Reverb Pedals
Delay and reverb are combined here because both create a sense of time and space but do so differently. Delay produces distinct repeats; reverb builds a dense field of reflections around the note. Dual-effect designs may run the sections in series or parallel, synchronise them to tempo and allow separate routing, so the interaction can range from a short room with a single echo to long, evolving ambient trails.
Tags
Digital
Converts the signal or control process into numerical data for algorithmic processing. Digital designs can provide precise timing, long memory, complex routing and repeatable presets; sample rate, conversion, internal resolution and latency influence fidelity and response.
Stereo
Processes, creates or passes two audio channels. True stereo preserves separate left and right inputs, while mono-to-stereo effects generate spatial differences internally; routing, phase behaviour and whether trails remain stereo determine the resulting image. Some outputs sum to mono when only one socket is connected, which can change level or modulation depth.
Tap Tempo
Measures repeated foot taps and converts their interval into an effect rate or delay time. Subdivisions translate that pulse into dotted, triplet or other rhythmic values, while averaging and range limits influence how quickly and accurately the tempo settles.
