The T-Komp is an incredibly versatile and innovative compressor, designed for both precise instrument tracking and powerful bus compression. Its dual ratio ranges make it the perfect tool for a variety of applications, from dynamic control in the 20:1 range, ideal for drums and instruments, to the 2:1 range for smooth bus compression. With options for both feed forward and feed back modes, you can switch between a punchy, modern response or a more musical, vintage style sound. The RMS detector offers a wide range of settings, from fast to slow, with the slowest setting (number four) emulating the classic sound of the old 160VU. Additionally, its adaptive mode is ideal for more complex program material. Offering the ability to tailor sound precisely to your needs, the T-Komp is the perfect blend of flexibility, power, and musicality for modern audio production.

Key Features:

  • Threshold:
Adjustable from 0 to +20dB, offering fine control over the amount of compression applied, allowing for both subtle dynamic shaping or more aggressive control when needed.
  • Blend Control:
From dry to wet, the blend control allows you to mix the processed signal with the original, giving you the ability to dial in the perfect amount of compression while retaining the original tone.
  • Average Timing:
With five selectable settings, ranging from ultra fast for peak limiting to a smooth, program dependent adaptive mode, the T-Komp covers every possible compression need with ease and flexibility.

Dual Ratio Ranges:

The T-Komp’s two selectable ratio ranges give you the ultimate control for various applications. The 20:1 ratio is perfect for aggressive compression, ideal for smashing drums or fine tuning instruments with precision. On the other hand, the 2:1 ratio is perfect for bus compression, allowing for smooth dynamic control without any unwanted artefacts. Switching between these ranges ensures that you can adapt to any mixing scenario, whether you’re tightening up a snare drum or gently compressing a full mix.

Flexible Compression Modes:

Choose between feed forward and feed back modes to fine tune the character of your compression. Feed forward mode provides a punchy, modern response, ideal for aggressive or contemporary sounds, while feed back mode offers a smoother, more musical response with a classic feel. These options let you tailor the sound to the specific requirements of your project, whether you need a clean, punchy modern sound or a vintage, smooth vibe.

RMS Detector Settings:

The T-Komp comes with five RMS detector settings, offering a broad range of timing options. From the super fast attack for peak limiting to the slowest setting that emulates the classic 160VU, the T-Komp adapts to your material, giving you full control over the dynamics. The fifth position, the adaptive mode, offers program dependent compression, making it ideal for dynamic and complex sources where a more intuitive, responsive behaviour is needed.

Specifications:

  • Input Impedance: 24kohm
  • Output Impedance: 50ohm
  • Max Input/Output Level: +26dBu
  • Frequency Response: 20Hz to 20kHz +/- 0.1dB
  • Signal to Noise Ratio @ 0dBu: Better than 94dB

Compressor

A compressor pedal evens out your dynamics, smoothing peaks and lifting quieter notes so everything feels tighter and more controlled. It adds sustain, clarity, and balance — making clean chords ring longer, country licks snap with precision, and funk rhythms pop with consistency. Subtle or pronounced, compression shapes the feel of your playing as much as the sound.

Use it at the front of your chain to tighten your core tone, add sustain to leads, or keep complex passages sitting neatly in the mix. From gentle polish to unmistakable squash, a compressor is one of those foundational tools that quietly makes everything sound more professional and dialled in.
