MG-30 is the flagship modelling effect processor in the NU-X range. Dual high-speed processing offers accurate modelling of 30 different amplifier options, including bias tweaking for an extra dimension of response adjustment, all using the proprietary NU-X TSAC-HD algorithm. Impulse response programming presents a choice of 8 guitar cabinets, 8 bass cabinets, 8 microphones in 3 different axis positions and even 3 acoustic guitar emulation profiles.

Once the main guitar tone is programmed, there are 8 effects blocks which can be assigned to different positions in the signal chain, including WAH, CMP, GATE, EFX, EQ, MOD, DLY & RVB. An expression pedal covers Wah and swell effects among other possibilities. Each has modes and/or parameters which can be adjusted and saved within the patch as needed.

This unit provides all the processing power and audio quality that could be asked from any professional guitar processor at a fraction of the price of its component features.

Amp Models ~ Less is More! Working musicians don't need hundreds of mediocre amp models. Knowing this, NUX focused on 30 classic essentials, and made each and every one live up to the standards of the most demanding players. Included in the collection are: 25 electric guitar amp models, 2 acoustic amp models, 3 bass amp models. Need to record a bass track? MG-30 offers 3 great bass amp models and 8 bass cab IRs. Simulating an acoustic guitar sound? MG-30 provides 3 acoustic IRs and 2 acoustic amp models for electric guitar to simulate acoustic guitar sound.

Key Features

  • Real-time Editing – Real-time editing uses rotary encoders and switches, making for a natural and organic process and all parameters and graphics are displayed on a vibrant 4" colour display.
  • NMP-2 Footswitch for Remote Control – Remotely control, and use expression to control the on-board effects.
  • 25 Legendary Guitar Amps – Not only does the  MG-30 have effects on-board, but it also has 25 different amp emulations meaning you could play a gig with just this unit and your guitar. It has stereo outputs that you can use directly out to the mixing desk and get a full fat guitar sound with a product that can fit in your backpack.

Multi-Effects Pedals

A multi-effects processor combines several effect algorithms and signal-routing stages in one unit. Its sound depends not only on the individual models but on their order, parallel or serial routing, processing resolution and available control. Preset structure, switching gaps, foot control, expression assignment, amp or cabinet modelling, USB audio and MIDI determine how completely the processor can replace separate pedals.

Tags

Acoustic

Voiced for the wider dynamics, strong transient detail and pickup characteristics of acoustic instruments. High input impedance, phase reversal, notch filtering and restrained processing help preserve body resonance while controlling piezo harshness and feedback. Balanced outputs may also carry the corrected signal directly to a mixer or interface.

Bass

Voiced or equipped to retain low-frequency fundamentals and the higher headroom of a bass signal. Clean blends, crossovers and bass-specific filter ranges can preserve weight and articulation while the effected portion adds harmonics, movement or ambience.

IR Loader

Convolves the signal with an impulse response, a captured measurement of a cabinet, speaker, microphone, room or other linear system. File length, sample rate, latency, storage and routing determine the detail of the captured response and how flexibly it can be combined.
