Designed for bass players that like to live in the low-end, the Earthquaker Devices Blumes Low Signal Shredder Overdrive Pedal is based on the Plumes circuit. This stompbox delivers all the same characteristics and features of the plumes, however, it has been modified to give you even more gain and bass response to tame that low-end even more!

Being an all-analogue tri-mode overdrive pedal, with a screamer-style circuit at its heart, Earthquaker devices have created a voice all its own. Producing more of a dynamic response, with cutting clarity, and plenty of headroom, you will experience a 3D tone that will enhance your sonic palette into something extraordinary.

Three Modes

Featuring three different modes, you can experiment and discover the tone that suits you the best all at the flick of a switch:

  • Symmetrical LED
  • Asymmetrical Silicon
  • No Diode OpAmp Drive

Key Features

  • More Gain, More Bass – With twice as much gain as the Plumes, you can achieve the same great crunchy attitude with even more low-end, clarity, and bass.
  • Three Modes – Select between three modes to find a setting that suits your style the best on an all-analogue signal path.
  • Bipolar Power – Operating off an internal bipolar power supply you will be able to achieve more headroom and signal clarity from your tone.

Overdrive Pedals

Overdrive uses soft or moderate clipping to add harmonics and compression while retaining more of the original note shape than heavy distortion. Some circuits emphasise the midrange and trim bass before clipping; others remain broad, transparent or amplifier-like. Gain, clipping arrangement, headroom and tone filtering decide whether it supplies a light edge, a saturated drive sound or extra push into another gain stage.

Tags

Analogue

The signal is shaped by continuously varying electronic circuitry rather than being converted into a digital effect algorithm. Component choice, operating voltage and circuit tolerances influence headroom, noise, clipping texture and the small variations in response between designs.

Bass

Voiced or equipped to retain low-frequency fundamentals and the higher headroom of a bass signal. Clean blends, crossovers and bass-specific filter ranges can preserve weight and articulation while the effected portion adds harmonics, movement or ambience.

Vocal

Designed for microphone-level signals and the frequency, dynamics and feedback behaviour of the human voice. Input gain, balanced connections, phantom power and pitch tracking may be provided so effects respond correctly before the signal reaches a mixer or PA.
