The Warm Audio Centavo Mod is a compact overdrive pedal made for boosting and driving guitar amps. Inside is a faithful recreation of the original Klon Centaur circuit. It uses TL072 op amps and vintage-style diodes to capture its distinctive response. Keep the gain low for a clean boost or turn it up to bring some grit into your sound. Three controls handle gain treble and output making it easy to adjust the pedal around your amp. Theres also a MOD switch tucked away on the back. Engage it and the low-end response extends giving your lower strings a throatier quality. Warm Audio have kept the same components used in the full-sized Centavo but moved them into a smaller golden enclosure. Top-mounted jacks make pedalboard placement easier too especially when youre short on space.

Brand

Warm Audio

Warm Audio began with founder Bryce Young’s aim of making the sounds of classic recording equipment more accessible through recreations of well-known analogue designs. The company remains rooted in studio gear, with microphones, preamps and compressors alongside a focused guitar-pedal range. Centavo revisits a sought-after overdrive, Foxy Tone Box is an octave fuzz, Mutation Phasor II is an optical phaser and Warmdrive is an amp-inspired overdrive. JustPedals listings include these models alongside ODD and WA-CV Centavo. The pedal line carries the company’s broader approach into guitar effects by pairing familiar circuit references with practical modern formats.

Specialist Effects Pedals

Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.
