THE ELECTRIC LIGHTNING is a pedal designed to meet the exacting needs of Chris Buck who utilizes a wide palette of sounds from crystal clear and punchy cleans through to nicely saturated overdrive.

The pedal has two sides to it: a complex valve overdrive with a 3-band EQ and a high headroom super clean boost on the right.

Key Features

  • Simple Interface – The ELECTRIC LIGHTNING has a simple interface, making dialling in the exact tone you need very simple.
  • Use as a Boost, an Overdrive, or BOTH! – Stack the Boost and the Overdrive together for pure tonal bliss, or use separate for clear articulate tone.

The pedal is designed so that the boost runs into the valve overdrive side. This arrangement yields three distinct tonal variations ranging from clean boost all the way through to full and fat saturation. The pedal is designed to clean up impeccably from your volume control and as such it is ideal for dynamic players who like to constantly adjust their playing style.

Overdrive Pedals

Overdrive pedals add warmth, grit and amplifier-like breakup to your guitar tone. They can be used as a light always-on tone enhancer, a bluesy crunch box, a mid-focused solo boost or a way to push a valve amp into richer saturation.

Different overdrive circuits have very different personalities, from transparent low-gain pedals to classic mid-hump designs and heavier modern drives. They are one of the most important pedal types because they respond to picking dynamics, guitar volume and the character of your amplifier.
