The NUX Solid Studio MKII is a compact pedal-format power amp and impulse response simulator designed for modern amp-less rigs silent practice and direct recording. Built around NUXs TSAC-4K white-box modelling algorithm it delivers a highly responsive playing feel by independently modelling preamp and power amp stages recreating the dynamic behaviour and negative feedback characteristics of real valve amplifiers. At the heart of the Solid Studio MKII is the CYBER IR™ stereo engine capable of true stereo impulse response reproduction at dual 1024-sample resolution. This allows detailed cabinet microphone and room interaction with ultra-low latency making it suitable for both live performance and studio use. With flexible block routing balanced outputs USB connectivity and a robust die-cast chassis the Solid Studio MKII functions as a versatile hub for pedal-based rigs direct-to-PA setups and portable recording systems.

Category

Specialist Effects Pedals

Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.

Tags

IR Loader

Convolves the signal with an impulse response, a captured measurement of a cabinet, speaker, microphone, room or other linear system. File length, sample rate, latency, storage and routing determine the detail of the captured response and how flexibly it can be combined.

Stereo

Processes, creates or passes two audio channels. True stereo preserves separate left and right inputs, while mono-to-stereo effects generate spatial differences internally; routing, phase behaviour and whether trails remain stereo determine the resulting image. Some outputs sum to mono when only one socket is connected, which can change level or modulation depth.

USB

Provides a Universal Serial Bus connection for power, audio, MIDI, firmware or editing data. The supported USB class and connector do not by themselves show its purpose; channel count, sample format, host compatibility and power demand define the actual function.
