Based on the original Bellows design from EarthQuakers early years this transistor-based fuzz delivers everything from edge-of-breakup grit to blown-out vintage fuzz. Its simple two-control layout keeps operation intuitive while the rich tonal range makes it far more versatile than its minimalist appearance suggests. Inspired by the response of non-master-volume amplifiers Bellows captures the feel and dynamics of a cranked vintage amp with remarkable authenticity. The Drive control determines how hard the signal hits the input stage moving from mellow amp-like breakup through classic rock overdrive and into saturated fuzz territory. Meanwhile the unique Level control adjusts output by setting the transistors bias voltage contributing to the pedals distinctive voice and touch sensitivity. Although designed primarily for guitar Bellows performs equally well with bass delivering growling low-end character and aggressive high-gain textures. It can even add grit and personality to keyboards and other instruments making it a versatile creative tool.
