Description
The Does It Doom Walpurgis Sabbathic Overdrive Vol. 2 takes everything players adored about the original and pushes it even further into riff‑worshipping oblivion. By fusing two legendary circuits into one gloriously unholy box, this pedal summons the unmistakable roar of Rangemaster‑boosted Laney Supergroup tones — but with way more control.
Developed in collaboration with Nick Williams of Dunwich Amplification, this thing is built for players who want that sound… and then some!
Unleashed Supergroup circuit with Rangemaster magic
The Walpurgis Vol. 2 starts with a painstaking JFET recreation of a late ‘60s Laney Supergroup amp, then digs even deeper into the sonic underworld. For this version, Does It Doom has fully unlocked the Supergroup’s EQ, volume and gain sections — knobs that were previously buried “behind the wall of sleep” — and paired them with a fully adjustable, Dunwich‑inspired modified Rangemaster boost.
36 volts of tube‑like headroom
Inside, the pedal runs at a massive 36 volts of internal headroom, giving you the touch, feel and authority of real cranked tubes (without needing to upset the neighbours!). The Ritual knob controls how much of that modified Rangemaster magic you want mixed in, letting you go from pure Supergroup thunder to scorching treble‑boosted mayhem.
Step straight into iconic Sabbathic tones
And here’s where things get properly fun: the Walpurgis Vol. 2 lets you step straight into Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler’s iconic tones from the late ‘60s through today.
Flip the input toggle to the right for the classic Iommi “Bass Input” howl, then blend in Ritual and Range for searing, unmistakably Sabbathic drive. Switch it left and pull Ritual to zero for that tight, punchy Geezer “Treble Input” bass tone. Or go full Matt Pike by using the centre “jumped” setting for a raging, high‑gain channel‑blended Supergroup assault reminiscent of The Sciences‑era Sleep.
Doom your rig your way
Use it as a crushing overdrive into the front of your amp or run it straight into an effects return or power amp as a dedicated preamp. The Walpurgis Vol. 2 is built to doom any rig!
