The Way Huge Smalls Pork and Pickle Bass Overdrive and Fuzz pedal fuses together two excellent existing tones – the Pork Loin Overdrive and the Russian-Pickle Fuzz – and packs them into one compact housing. This is a truly tasty bass playing proposition.

On-the-Fly Switching

Swap between the two contrasting tones through the flick of one dedicated switch. Immediately select from the soft, warmer sonics of the Pork Loin and then quickly swap to the fat, decadent sound of the Russian-Pickle.  Each will then be complimented by the current settings you’ve applied to the tone, volume and drive controls.

Clean and Lean

The pedal features the Pork Loin Overdrive’s iconic clean channel (a specialised British style preamp) which can be used alongside either mode. This allows you to make use of the Russian-Pickle fuzz simultaneously, opening up a whole host of new creative possibilities!

Tweak Your Tones

Use the presence and curve controls to craft your ideal Pork Loin tone. You can then mould both circuits further, utilising the level control to affect how much fuzz or overdrive you release via the external volume control.

Features

  • Combines the Pork Loin Overdrive and the Russian-Pickle Fuzz.
  • Easily swap between them using the dedicated Fuzz/OD switch.
  • Craft the sound of the Pork Loin signal using the presence and curve controls.
  • Both the Russian-Pickle and Pork Loin circuits feature individual level control – configure the amount of fuzz/overdrive that is released.
  • Internal controls – craft more developed tones and sonic possibilities.
  • Use the Clean Blend and Tone controls to add further variation to your sound.

Guitar Pedals

Guitar Pedals is a useful category for players looking to shape their guitar or bass sound in a more focused way. Products in this area can help with tone, control, routing, performance or creative sound design depending on the exact type of gear involved.

For anyone building a pedalboard, guitar pedals options can help fill a specific gap in the signal chain or open up new sounds that are difficult to achieve with an amp alone. They are worth exploring when you want a more personal, flexible and practical setup.

Overdrive Pedals

Overdrive pedals add warmth, grit and amplifier-like breakup to your guitar tone. They can be used as a light always-on tone enhancer, a bluesy crunch box, a mid-focused solo boost or a way to push a valve amp into richer saturation.

Different overdrive circuits have very different personalities, from transparent low-gain pedals to classic mid-hump designs and heavier modern drives. They are one of the most important pedal types because they respond to picking dynamics, guitar volume and the character of your amplifier.

Fuzz

Fuzz pedals create thick saturated distortion with a raw and highly expressive character that differs significantly from standard overdrive or distortion pedals. Vintage-inspired fuzz circuits remain hugely influential in psychedelic rock, doom, garage, shoegaze and experimental music.

Different fuzz designs respond very differently to pickups, guitar volume and playing dynamics, allowing players to move between smooth sustain, gated textures and aggressive spluttering tones.

Guitar Pedal

Guitar Pedal pedals and related effects are commonly used by guitarists looking to shape their tone in a more focused and creative way. Different designs offer their own response, feel and tonal character depending on the style of music and the type of amplifier or guitar being used.

Many players build pedalboards gradually over time, combining different effects and utilities to create a setup that suits their own sound and workflow. Guitar Pedal related gear can play an important role in both live performance and studio recording.

Overdrive

Overdrive pedals recreate the sound of an amplifier being pushed harder, adding warmth, breakup and sustain while still responding naturally to picking dynamics and guitar volume changes. They are one of the most important and widely used pedal types in modern guitar rigs.

Different overdrive circuits offer very different flavours, from transparent low-gain boost-style pedals through to mid-focused classic rock tones and heavier amp-like saturation.
