The SubZero Hidden Gem Guitar EQ pedal allows you to tweak your tone without compromise. Designed in house by our specialists at the heart of the pedal lies five fixed frequency bands. These were specifically chosen to match frequencies prominent in electric and electro-acoustic guitars. Simply adjust these sliders to add “attack” reduce “boxiness” mimic low and high pass filters and much more. This gives you extensive ways of sculpting your tone with a hands-on approach to achieve these alterations. Thanks to the inclusion of an analog circuit and true bypass design youll maintain maximum signal integrity at all times. The durable build of the exterior offers an unparalleled level of protection to the internal components ensuring the Hidden Gem performs consistently in all applications. Perfecting your tone has never felt so fun! Please Note: This pedal does not come with a power supply. One can be purchased here.

EQ Pedals

EQ pedals change the level of selected frequency bands rather than adding a fixed effect. Graphic designs provide set sliders, while parametric or sweepable circuits let the player choose frequency, bandwidth and cut or boost. EQ can correct a resonant acoustic pickup, tighten bass before distortion, create a mid lift for solos or remove harshness after a drive stage. The order is significant because changing the spectrum before clipping changes which frequencies distort. Check available gain, noise floor, bypass behaviour and whether the pedal is intended for instrument or line level.

Tags

Acoustic

Voiced for piezo, magnetic or microphone-based acoustic instruments, with attention to pickup impedance, attack, body resonance and feedback control. It may cover preamp, EQ, compression or ambience.

Analogue

Uses continuous analogue circuitry for some or all of the audio path, so clipping, filtering or modulation arises from physical components rather than sampled algorithms. Check the exact signal path.

True Bypass

Connects input directly to output through mechanical or relay switching when the effect is off, removing the active circuit from the audio path. It avoids buffer colour but leaves cable capacitance and switching design to influence high-frequency loss and possible switching noise.
