For these incredibly distorted tones this model brings together the best of both analogue and digital designs. A digitally enhanced JFET circuit provides an excellent response whilst the digital enhancement maximises the headroom to add up to 20db of analogue gain. A precision crafted DSP is also used to provide dynamic complexity allowing the drive tones to sing at any gain stage on any amp. Powerful controls Onboard the Riverside are a wide range of power controls. With the drive control you can adjust the amount of gain that the pedal produces whilst its secondary function reduces the amount of noise that it makes when nothing is being played. Thanks to the level control you can control the amount of output. Also onboard is a gain switch letting you toggle between a low and high pass filter for heavily overdriven or clean sounds. On top of all of this is a 3-band EQ providing you with further tonal tweaking capabilities. Connect and enhance the pedal’s tone A favourite switch has been added to this model letting you save your favourite setting to use later. No need to try and remember what controls you set. Simply tap the button and let the beautiful melodies take you away. Use a TRS cable from the Riverside’s boost output into the expression pedal input of another Strymon pedal to link the two together. Activate both favourite switches simultaneously. The boost output can also be used to connect a boost pedal that provides 6db of boost allowing you to leave the pedal on and then use the boost to add extra punch when needed. An expression output allows it to connect to an expression pedal or volume pedal offering further control over the Riverside’s effects.
