Gamechanger Audio's Plasma pedal is truly unique; standing out within a stompbox market that's overflowing with options. Producing a gnarly, spluttery distorted tone via a series of electrical discharges that occur within its built-in xenon tube; the highly-unconventional Plasma pedal is the first (and only) commercial musical device that literally amplifies your audio signal up to 3500 Volts. Trust us, there's nothing quite like it!

However, Gamechanger Audio's Plasma Coil pedal is a tweaked version of the original formula. Created in collaboration with Jack White's Third Man Records, the Plasma Coil relies on the exact same 'High Voltage Distortion' technology that the original is so admired for, but takes it to new heights.

By adding multiple octaver-style circuits and an additional effects footswitch that can be toggled as latching or momentary, the Plasma Coil gives you even more room for experimentation. You can form crazy sub/upper harmonic octave-fuzz sounds just like Jack White, or employ the effect footswitch as a volume boost for when your solos need an extra push.

Distortion Pedals

Distortion pedals create a heavier, more aggressive gain sound than most overdrive pedals, giving guitarists the sustain, bite and saturation needed for rock, punk, metal and hard-hitting lead tones. They can turn a clean amp into a high-gain platform or add an extra layer of intensity to an already driven sound.

Some distortion pedals are tight and modern, while others are raw, fizzy or vintage-inspired. Choosing the right one depends on whether you want chunky rhythm tones, singing sustain, scooped metal sounds or a classic hard-rock voice with plenty of attack.

Octave Pedals

Octave, pitch and harmony pedals shift your guitar signal up or down to create extra notes, thicker textures and unusual musical effects. They can add a lower octave for heavier riffs, create twelve-string style shimmer, produce synth-like tones or generate harmonised lead lines.

These pedals are popular with experimental guitarists, bass players, solo performers and anyone wanting to make one instrument sound larger. Tracking quality, blend controls and polyphonic performance all affect how natural or extreme the final sound feels.
