The CH-1 Chorus Ensemble covers a wide frequency range and features high and low-cut filters. This lets you create any kind of chorus effect from a mild, natural chorus to the clear and penetrating stereo chorus effect popular in contemporary music.

It delivers a clean chorus sound with crystal-clear highs and a unique stereo effect, variable between the left and right speakers. An EQ function adjusts the tonality of the chorus sound. Boss pedals are renowned for quality and value and the CH-1 has been an industry favourite for over 20 years.

What does a chorus pedal do?

A chorus pedal repeats what you play at very close intervals to make it sound like multiple guitars are playing . When you increase the depth, it increases the intensity of the effect. When you adjust the rate (or delay time) it makes the repeats occur closer together or farther apart.

Renowned Boss build quality

Boss pedals have a reputation for being built like tanks. You can be sure that however much you drop it, kick it, throw it and jump on it, it'll still come back for more. These pedals constantly survive the rigours of rock 'n' roll touring, and that's why they're seen at the feet of top touring pros everywhere.

Reliability really can be affordable to all. Boss are so sure their compact pedals last the test of time, they cover them with a full five year warranty.

In the current JustPedals catalogue, Boss is represented by Multi-Effects Pedals, Delay Pedals and Distortion Pedals. Current listings include PW-3 Wah, PX-1 Plugout FX and FZ-5 Fuzz. That makes the range relevant to players looking for drive, gain and clipping, plus time-based effects and ambience. Check each model for its exact circuit or processing platform, controls, power requirements and connections, particularly where the catalogue includes both pedals and supporting gear.

Chorus Pedals

Chorus pedals mix the dry signal with one or more short, modulated delays to create movement, width and gentle pitch variation. Rate controls the speed of the modulation; depth controls its excursion; blend, tone and stereo routing determine how prominent the effect becomes. Slower, shallow settings can add width without obscuring the note, while deeper settings move towards a seasick or synthetic wobble. Analogue bucket-brigade and digital designs can behave differently, so check mono compatibility, headroom and the placement of the pedal after drives or before a mixer.

Stereo

Stereo products provide separate left and right audio paths, which may widen modulation, preserve independent delays or route a pedalboard into two amplifiers or a mixer. Input and output behaviour is not always symmetrical: some units sum a stereo input, while others create stereo from a mono source. Check whether the effect collapses safely to mono, how the dry signal is routed, the socket format and the destination’s panning and phase requirements.
