The Compulsion Drive (TCD) is more than just a distortion pedal! Its Brian Wamplers tribute to one of the most iconic drive circuits ever obsessively refined and compulsively tweaked for todays players. What sets the Compulsion Drive apart is its ability to feel like part of your amp rather than just a pedal in front of it. It allows chords to shimmer with clarity and single notes to sing with sustain and definition.

Category
Overdrive Pedals
Overdrive uses soft or moderate clipping to add harmonics and compression while retaining more of the original note shape than heavy distortion. Some circuits emphasise the midrange and trim bass before clipping; others remain broad, transparent or amplifier-like. Gain, clipping arrangement, headroom and tone filtering decide whether it supplies a light edge, a saturated drive sound or extra push into another gain stage.
