The Wampler Moxie Overdrive Pedal is a homage to one the most popular stompboxes ever created. Even better Brian Wampler has taken the legendary circuit even further gifting you the same outrageous driven tones but with extra dynamic-shifting switches. First among those is a voice switch – activate this and your bass and trebles receive a mighty boost whilst simultaneously cutting the mids to reveal more natural brawny sounding overdrive. Backing that up is a FAT switch. Flick this on to introduce a significant amount of gain to the signal for those extra gnarly tones – and all the while itll maintain a clear and vibrant output. Flanked by a set of super simple dials it couldnt be easier to shape the sonics to your exact taste. And all these monster harmonics are crammed into an extra slim case so itll easily fit onto any pedalboard. If youre looking for classic crunch with plenty of control then the Wampler Moxie Overdrive is calling…

Overdrive Pedals

Overdrive uses soft or moderate clipping to add harmonics and compression while retaining more of the original note shape than heavy distortion. Some circuits emphasise the midrange and trim bass before clipping; others remain broad, transparent or amplifier-like. Gain, clipping arrangement, headroom and tone filtering decide whether it supplies a light edge, a saturated drive sound or extra push into another gain stage.

Bass

Voiced or equipped to retain low-frequency fundamentals and the higher headroom of a bass signal. Clean blends, crossovers and bass-specific filter ranges can preserve weight and articulation while the effected portion adds harmonics, movement or ambience.

Vocal

Designed for microphone-level signals and the frequency, dynamics and feedback behaviour of the human voice. Input gain, balanced connections, phantom power and pitch tracking may be provided so effects respond correctly before the signal reaches a mixer or PA.
