Valeton grew out of a team with more than a decade of experience designing and building musical-instrument products for other brands, then developed its own range of performance-focused gear. Its line spans compact stompboxes, combined effects, loopers, pedal switchers and modelling processors. The GP-200 is a detailed example: Valeton specifies more than 140 amp and cabinet simulations, over 100 stompbox effects, USB audio, MIDI and an expression pedal. JustPedals also lists the VLP-200 stereo looper and EP-2 Surge expression pedal. Valeton’s strengths are easiest to judge by the specific platform and connections, not the word “pedal” alone.

An expression pedal converts foot movement into a control signal rather than processing audio directly. It can sweep parameters such as delay time, modulation depth, pitch or volume on compatible equipment. Potentiometer value, wiring polarity, connector type and minimum-range controls must match the receiving device; some models provide multiple outputs or programmable MIDI control instead of a passive resistance.

Uses a reduced-width enclosure to conserve pedalboard space. The smaller format can limit battery access, footswitch spacing and the number or size of controls, while side-mounted sockets and power placement determine how much space is actually saved once connected.
