This pedal will not work with a 9V battery, and requires a 9V DC power supply (not included).

If you’re looking for classic “rodent” style distortion tones in pedalboard friendly package, look no further than the Tone City Mickey Distortion!

Simple Controls, Deep Sounds

While there are only three controls on this mini pedal, Tone City has incorporated the essentials. The volume control acts as you would normally expect, with the tone and gain controls having a wider range than you would expect. Delivering everything from a sweet crunch to crushing high-gain, this versatile pedal lets you attain fantastic tones suitable for blues, rock and metal.

The sensitivity of the tone control means that you can run this pedal into the clean channel of nearly any amplifier, and get the classic “rodent” distortion sound you are craving. Keep the control low for a smooth lead tone, or crank it higher for a more cutting sound that’ll pierce through nicely in a mix.

The mod switch pushes the Mickey further into overdrive for a bigger, fatter, more saturated tone, ideal for lead parts.

Small & Portable

All Tone City pedals are built in a micro pedal format, which not only helps to save precious real-estate on your pedalboard, but also keeps your bank balance healthy thanks to their amazingly low price. But don’t worry, you don’t lose any quality when going down to this small size or cost.

The controls all use high-quality components, and with true bypass switching, your signal will stay as clean and pure as possible.

Please Note: This pedal will not work with a 9V battery, and requires a 9V DC power supply (not included).

Distortion Pedals

Distortion clips the waveform more firmly than overdrive, generating dense upper harmonics, longer sustain and a more compressed response. Circuit topology and filtering decide whether the sound is tight and focused, broad and aggressive, smooth or deliberately abrasive. Gain sets the amount of clipping, while pre- and post-distortion tone controls strongly influence low-end definition, midrange presence and high-frequency texture.

Battery Powered

Can operate from an internal replaceable battery, usually with different available current and running time from an external supply. Battery chemistry, access and automatic disconnection through the input socket affect practical runtime and storage. High-current digital processing generally shortens battery life more sharply than a simple analogue circuit.

Mini Pedal

Uses a reduced-width enclosure to conserve pedalboard space. The smaller format can limit battery access, footswitch spacing and the number or size of controls, while side-mounted sockets and power placement determine how much space is actually saved once connected.
