Following on from the success of the original TC Ditto Looper, TC have bought out the bigger brother – the TC Electronic Ditto X2 looper pedal! The new Ditto X2 takes everything we like about the old Ditto – simple, compact form, high quality 24 bit sound, and true bypass – and adds in fantastic new features without overly compromising on size or value for money!

Key Features

  • The Guitar Player’s Looper – made by guitarists for guitarists
  • Dirt Simple Looping – and nothing but looping
  • Easy Integration – True Bypass and Analogue-Dry-Through
  • 5 Minutes of Looping Time –  Enough Said!
  • Undo / Redo Parts Easily – Undo / Redo function with unlimited overdubs
  • High-Quality Audio – Audiophile approved 24-bit uncompressed high quality audio
  • Simple Controls – Dedicated Stop/Clear footswitch
  • Want to Reverse or Slow Down? – Loop FX (Reverse and ½ speed)
  • PC Power – Import/Export loops from PC/Mac
  • Create Backing Tracks – perfect for solo practice and live performance
  • Stereo – Stereo In/Out

The Ditto X2 now has a dedicated stop/clear footswitch to make loop changes more intuitive and giving guitarists more control over their loops without the need for hands! Also included on the X2 are looping effects – reverse & speed – which turns the Ditto X2 into a special effect in its own right, as well as a traditional looper. Add to this the X2’s facility to hold up to 5 minutes of loops, and even import your own loops over USB connection with any PC or Mac, and you have a fully fledged rehearsal loop station as well as a live and recording FX pedal! You can even get FREE backing tracks via the JamTrackCentral  website so you can enjoy playing along to great tunes with your new Ditto X2 loop pedal!

Loop in stereo so you can enjoy great quality stereo looping with 24 bit quality, all in a pedal that is barely bigger than your standard single guitar FX box. With the original Ditto, TC had broken into the looper market with a super-cool, super compact, simple loop pedal. The X2 takes the Ditto concept one step farther, and adds another fantastic guitar looper into the mix for guitarists who love to loop.

Specifications

  • Export loops to PC or Mac to work with in your DAW, and import complex backing tracks into the looper to impress on stage
  • Access a wealth of StarJam loops by famous guitarists plus a free package of expertly recorded JamTrack backing tracks
  • 5 minutes of looping time with unlimited overdubs and undo/redo for total creative freedom
  • Stereo inputs and outputs for major setup flexibility – you can even plugin 2 instruments

Looper Pedals

A looper records a passage and plays it back repeatedly so additional parts can be overdubbed over the cycle. Loop length, audio quality, storage and the number of independent tracks define the basic capability. Undo, quantisation, synchronisation, rhythm guides, reverse and half-speed functions determine how recordings can be corrected, transformed and aligned with other equipment.

Tags

Analogue

The signal is shaped by continuously varying electronic circuitry rather than being converted into a digital effect algorithm. Component choice, operating voltage and circuit tolerances influence headroom, noise, clipping texture and the small variations in response between designs.

Stereo

Processes, creates or passes two audio channels. True stereo preserves separate left and right inputs, while mono-to-stereo effects generate spatial differences internally; routing, phase behaviour and whether trails remain stereo determine the resulting image. Some outputs sum to mono when only one socket is connected, which can change level or modulation depth.

True Bypass

Connects input directly to output through mechanical or relay switching when the effect is off, removing the active circuit from the audio path. It avoids buffer colour but leaves cable capacitance and switching design to influence high-frequency loss and possible switching noise.
