The Polaris is one of the most crisp, smooth and flexible overdrives we've ever heard. It has all the options you'd want from a pedalboard-worthy gigging stompbox, with the exceptional sound quality you require when recording.

Control Layout

Spaceman Effects like to do things different to your run-of-the-mill pedal company. The Polaris has an interesting set of shaping functions, with four of the six controls used purely for tonal adjustment. The two toggles are extremely unique to an overdrive pedal. The Bass switch lets you choose between bass cut, full-pass and bass boost to suit your natural guitar tone. 

Filter is the star of the show, as you can select a one-pole, two-pole or resonant two-pole settings which dive to different depths and frequency ranges. After a mid-boost screamer sound? Done. Classic full-range overdrive? Easy. Unique, sweeping pulses of gain? Absolutely.

From there, simply adjust the Filter dial for micro tweaking and the Initial control knob to blend your raw, pre-filtered overdrive.

Connectivity

Unlock the true potential of the Polaris with a TRS expression pedal or automatic device. This opens the door to some otherworldly exciting new sounds. Adjusting the Filter allows for some serious in-depth tone shaping.
