Description

The Spaceman Effects Delta II Harmonic Tremolo Pedal in Blue is currently retailing at £249 and it is out of stock. Available to be delivered to you by post direct (some charge may apply). The team at Just Pedals think that Spaceman Effects nailed it with the Spaceman Effects Delta II Harmonic Tremolo Pedal in Blue.

Hand-wired and built in Portland, Oregon, the Delta II from Spaceman Effects is a powerful harmonic tremolo with a myriad of tone shaping and rhythmic capabilities. Featuring a lush, all analogue signal path with three distinct voices, flexible filtering for expressive tones and true bypass relay switching, the Delta II offers unparalleled versatility in a compact, heavy duty chassis.

As with most tremolo pedals, the Delta II includes controls for RATE and DEPTH, which control the speed and intensity of the effect respectively. Unlike other tremolos though, the Delta II's LAG control allows you to dial in varying degrees of phase lag between the LFO outputs. At zero, you'll get a traditional tremolo and as you turn the knob up, you'll be in harmonic tremolo territory. The FREQ knob is a two-pole state variable filter where the high-pass and low-pass outputs are paired in different combinations for modulation. The RES control introduces an almost formant vocal-like quality to the filter, with more dramatic effects at higher settings.

The Delta II is available in three different finishes, Black, Red and Blue.

Key Features

  • 3 Distinct Voices – Switch Left – High & Dry. Switch Middle – High & Low. Switch Right – Low & Dry. Dial in anything from hazy, throbbing rhythms to phasing pulsations and everything in between.

  • High Headroom – The Delta II can be operated at 18V for maximum headroom and clarity.
  • Selectable Expression Control – Sweep through the depth and rate controls by connecting an external expression pedal.
  • Internal Volume Trimpot – Allows for precise level matching no matter where the Delta II sits in your signal chain.

Effects

An effect is a modification applied to the instrument’s sound to alter its tonal characteristics, dynamics, or spatial properties. Effects can be achieved through electronic devices such as pedals, processors, or built-in effects units, and they offer a wide range of sonic possibilities.

Musicians use effects to enhance their sound, create unique textures, and expand the expressive capabilities of their instruments across various musical genres.

Tremolo

Tremolo is a modulation effect that varies the volume of a guitar signal at a controlled speed and depth, creating a pulsing or wavering sound. This effect is achieved by rapidly increasing and decreasing the amplitude, producing anything from a subtle, shimmery movement to a dramatic, choppy stutter. Tremolo was one of the earliest built-in amp effects, famously used in vintage Fender amplifiers. Modern tremolo pedals offer classic analogue circuits or digital flexibility with features like tap tempo and wave shape control. Popular tremolo pedals include the Boss TR-2, Fulltone Supa-Trem, and Strymon Flint, making it a favourite for surf rock, blues, indie, and experimental music.
