Overdrive is arguably the most widely used guitar effect in music. Whether you achieve it from cranking your amplifier to 11 or by stepping on a pedal on the floor, Overdrive is a must have effect in your arsenal.

The Source Audio LA Lady Overdrive offers three distinctly different Overdrive sounds; Classic, Crunch and Smooth. With controls for Drive, Level, Bass and Treble, you have full control over your tone making it easy to dial in a great sounding overdrive. The LA Lady has stereo inputs and outputs allowing you to plug into two amplifiers for a huge wall of sound! The Stereo set up also allows you to distort upstream stereo signals, split a mono signal to dual outputs, or use the additional in and out as an external effects loop.

Each pedal from Source Audio's One Series line is compatible with the Neuro Mobile App (a free download for iOS and Android) which opens up a plethora of presets and customisation and editing features.

Key Features

  • 3 Overdrive Modes – "Classic" mode delivers the sought after "Marshall in a box" sound. "Crunch" mode takes you into Stevie Ray-esque Texas Blues territory and "Smooth" mode produces a tube amp inspired lead tone with plenty of warmth and sustain.
  • Stereo Operation – Connect the LA Lady to two amplifiers for a huge, wide, overdriven sound. Once you've gone stereo, you won't want to go back!
  • Universal Bypass – Chose between an analogue buffered or relay based True Bypass depending on where the LA Lady sits in your signal chain.
  • Stackable Drive Engines – Dual drive engines and stereo inputs and outputs make it possible (via the Neuro App) to stack any combination of drive engines in either series or parallel as well as split the signal and send a separate drive engine to each of the pedal’s outputs.

  • Includes 9v DC power supply (300mA / Negative Tip)

Overdrive Pedals

Overdrive pedals add warmth, grit and amplifier-like breakup to your guitar tone. They can be used as a light always-on tone enhancer, a bluesy crunch box, a mid-focused solo boost or a way to push a valve amp into richer saturation.

Different overdrive circuits have very different personalities, from transparent low-gain pedals to classic mid-hump designs and heavier modern drives. They are one of the most important pedal types because they respond to picking dynamics, guitar volume and the character of your amplifier.

Overdrive pedals recreate the sound of an amplifier being pushed harder, adding warmth, breakup and sustain while still responding naturally to picking dynamics and guitar volume changes. They are one of the most important and widely used pedal types in modern guitar rigs.

Different overdrive circuits offer very different flavours, from transparent low-gain boost-style pedals through to mid-focused classic rock tones and heavier amp-like saturation.
