Description

If you need a compact rig for travelling, or just prefer fewer pedals, then the Pedaltrain Metro 20 is an ideal platform. The Metro 20 offers the great durability that Pedaltrain are known for in a smaller, more portable format. This version comes with a hard case to keep your pedalboard protected when you're on the road.

When your rig has more than two or three pedals a pedalboard almost becomes a necessity to keep you from tripping up on a mess of cables. With its sturdy, rugged design the Metro 20 is a reliable platform to mount your pedals, capable of withstanding the rigours of gigging. The Metro 20 has a compact, low-profile three-rail design that saves space over angled-board designs and has room for all your essential pedals.

Included is 60 inches of Pedaltrain's proprietary hook and loop tape to keep your pedals in place when you stamp down ahead of that big solo. You also get zip ties for cable management to prevent you tripping up or getting headaches untangling a mess of cables.

Pedaltrain

Pedaltrain is a renowned company specializing in designing and manufacturing innovative pedalboards for musicians. Founded in 1999 by John Chandler in Nashville, Tennessee, Pedaltrain gained popularity due to its unique approach to pedalboard construction, focusing on lightweight, durable, and ergonomically designed products. Unlike traditional wooden pedalboards, Pedaltrain introduced aluminium boards with a patented open-frame design that allows musicians to organize and manage their effect pedals easily. This design also provides the flexibility to accommodate power supplies and cabling underneath the board, offering a clean and organized setup that touring and gigging musicians highly favour.

Some of Pedaltrain’s most popular products are the Pedaltrain Classic, Novo, and Metro series, which cater to different needs and preferences. The **Pedaltrain Classic series** offers spacious designs suitable for musicians with large pedal collections, featuring a robust build that can withstand rigorous travel and performance conditions. The **Novo series** provides slightly larger boards with extra rail space, allowing for additional pedals and customization options. For musicians seeking compact solutions, the **Metro series** offers smaller, portable boards ideal for simpler setups or limited stage space. Additionally, Pedaltrain boards are often praised for their compatibility with a wide range of accessories, including custom-fit cases and power supply mounting kits, making them a versatile choice for both amateur and professional musicians seeking reliability and ease of use in their pedalboard setups.

PedalBoard

A pedalboard is the foundation of any organised effects setup, providing a stable surface to mount and power your pedals. It keeps everything neat, secure, and easy to transport, with tidy cable management and a single power supply to reduce noise and clutter. Whether you’re running a small setup with a few essentials or a large rig full of modulation, delay, and drive pedals, a well-built pedalboard helps you focus on playing rather than fumbling with cables.

Good pedalboards are lightweight yet sturdy, often made from aluminium with cutouts for cables and power leads. Many come with soft or hard cases for safe travel between gigs. Choosing the right layout makes a big difference — it’s all about balancing accessibility, signal flow, and power needs. A properly planned pedalboard not only protects your gear but also makes your setup faster, quieter, and more reliable wherever you play.
