As the name suggests, the Classic 1 is Pedaltrain's classic design, based on the original PT-1 that got the company started. The Classic 1 still offers the great durability that Pedaltrain have become known for, but with some improvements on the original. This version comes with a tour-grade hard case to keep your pedalboard protected when you're on the road.

When your rig has more than two or three pedals a pedalboard almost becomes a necessity to keep you from tripping up on a mess of cables. With its sturdy, rugged design the Classic 1 is a reliable platform to mount your pedals, capable of withstanding the rigours of gigging and touring. The Classic 1 lifts your pedals off the ground, keeping them safe from scratches and spills on stage, and presenting your pedals at a comfortable angle to use them.

The Classic 1 improves on the original with an open front design making it easier to use a wide range of power supplies with your board. Included is 90 inches of Pedaltrain's proprietary hook and loop tape to keep your pedals in place when you stamp down ahead of that big solo. You also get zip ties for cable management to prevent you tripping up or getting headaches untangling a mess of cables.

Pedaltrain

Pedaltrain is a renowned company specializing in designing and manufacturing innovative pedalboards for musicians. Founded in 1999 by John Chandler in Nashville, Tennessee, Pedaltrain gained popularity due to its unique approach to pedalboard construction, focusing on lightweight, durable, and ergonomically designed products. Unlike traditional wooden pedalboards, Pedaltrain introduced aluminium boards with a patented open-frame design that allows musicians to organize and manage their effect pedals easily. This design also provides the flexibility to accommodate power supplies and cabling underneath the board, offering a clean and organized setup that touring and gigging musicians highly favour.

Some of Pedaltrain’s most popular products are the Pedaltrain Classic, Novo, and Metro series, which cater to different needs and preferences. The **Pedaltrain Classic series** offers spacious designs suitable for musicians with large pedal collections, featuring a robust build that can withstand rigorous travel and performance conditions. The **Novo series** provides slightly larger boards with extra rail space, allowing for additional pedals and customization options. For musicians seeking compact solutions, the **Metro series** offers smaller, portable boards ideal for simpler setups or limited stage space. Additionally, Pedaltrain boards are often praised for their compatibility with a wide range of accessories, including custom-fit cases and power supply mounting kits, making them a versatile choice for both amateur and professional musicians seeking reliability and ease of use in their pedalboard setups.

A pedalboard provides a stable surface and cable space for arranging effects as one transportable signal system. Rail spacing, usable area and mounting method determine which enclosures fit, while underside clearance controls power-supply and cable placement. Case type, weight, handles, risers, patch bays and removable sections affect protection and access without changing the audio signal itself.
