Expanding on the concept of the previous Expression Ramper, the Expression Ramper X3 is an expression movement shaper capable of manipulating three expression jacks simultaneously with copious control. This device brings new sounds out of your old favourites, reinvigorating the sonic possibilities of your collection!

Key Features

  • Expression with Savable Presets – Expression Control Pedal, with storable expression preset settings.
  • Express Yourself 3 Times – 3 expression separately adjustable and syncable outputs to create footswitch activated motion on up to three external devices.
  • Sync your Rampers Please – Ability to sync across all three Rampers, with subdivided rate or direct output matching.
  • Sync Tempo – Tempo syncing via tap switch on the device, external tap switch, and tap out in order to sync multiple Expression Ramper X3s.

A Ramper is a device that creates motion on your expression-enabled devices. You choose point A, point B, and the way it moves between. Its simple, and opens up a number of sounds from your existing pedals.

Expression Ramper X3 is more than three Rampers in one box, there are a plethora of additional controls to tempo sync multiple Rampers.

The SYNC toggles on Rampers II and III determine whether they are synced to Ramper I. ALL syncs everything about the Ramper: the output of the completely synced Ramper will match Ramper I’s output exactly.

Ramper I (the green one) has a TAP button. This can be used to tap in the desired LFO speed. It begins syncing at two taps, but multiple taps in a row at similar BPMs will average out to increase accuracy. Note: the slowest possible tap tempo is 30 BPM, so taps outside of this range will be disregarded.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors

Old Blood Noise Endeavors is a pedal manufacturer known for its creative and unconventional effects. Their pedals are designed to push the boundaries of traditional sound, often combining distortion, delay, and modulation effects in innovative ways. One example is their *Beam Splitter* pedal, which takes a single input signal and splits it into three different versions with varying delay times and overdrive tones. This results in a larger, more textured sound, ideal for those looking to create unique sonic landscapes. Their pedals also feature expressive controls such as Deviate, which introduces natural variations to delay times for a more organic feel.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors is also recognized for its distinctive pedal designs and collaboration with various artists, showcasing their commitment to producing high-quality, experimental tools for musicians. Their pedals are popular for both live performances and studio work, offering a range of effects from fuzz to reverb, each with a creative twist. This brand stands out for its bold approach to sound manipulation, making it a favourite among experimental musicians and those seeking to expand their sonic palette.

Expression Pedals

Volume and expression pedals give real-time foot control over level, swells and effect parameters. A volume pedal can create smooth fade-ins and control overall signal level, while an expression pedal can adjust delay feedback, modulation speed, pitch, filter sweep or other assignable settings.

These pedals are valuable for ambient players, live performers and anyone who wants more movement and control from their effects. They make a pedalboard feel more interactive and can turn static sounds into expressive, evolving textures.

Expression

Expression pedals and related effects are commonly used by guitarists looking to shape their tone in a more focused and creative way. Different designs offer their own response, feel and tonal character depending on the style of music and the type of amplifier or guitar being used.

Many players build pedalboards gradually over time, combining different effects and utilities to create a setup that suits their own sound and workflow. Expression related gear can play an important role in both live performance and studio recording.
