Designed to bring studio clarity and pristine tonal tweakability to your pedalboard, the Align combines the sort of functionality you might find in studio rack compression & EQ units into a handy stompbox enclosure. Expect a rich sonic character that'll breathe new life into your acoustic setup; with saturation voiced specifically for acoustic guitar, you'll have studio warmth and frequency-taming simultaneously at your disposal, and the EQ settings are designed to respond to your playing. The harder your strum, the more your sound is compressed!

Key Features:

  • Analog Saturation enhances warmth and harmonic content
  • Compression / EQ smoothes out common problem frequencies
  • Adjustable gain for both passive and active pickups

Here's what LR Baggs have to say about the Align Equalizer:

Inspired by the LR Baggs Handcrafted Video Sessions and our experience in some of Nashville’s great studios, the Align Session brings our signature studio sound to your live rig. Session circuitry enhances your acoustic pickup and imparts the rich sonic character that you’d expect from an experienced audio engineer using some of the world’s finest studio gear. We’ve captured this studio magic and put it into a compact, easy-to-use acoustic pedal that will transform your live sound.

Often used by studio engineers in post-production, saturation adds warmth, dimension, and pleasing harmonics while smoothing the signal for an enhanced mix. The Session’s proprietary saturation is voiced specifically for the acoustic guitar and transports studio analog warmth and inspiring playability to the stage.

Unlike standard compression that can squash the entire range of your signal, the Session’s Comp EQ features 3 narrowly focused bands of compression that tame common problematic frequencies and uncover the voice of your guitar. The low, mid, and high frequency compressors are essentially “touch-sensitive” EQs that respond in real-time to your dynamics. The harder you strum, the more they compress and vice versa.

Specialist Effects Pedals

Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.

Acoustic

Voiced for the wider dynamics, strong transient detail and pickup characteristics of acoustic instruments. High input impedance, phase reversal, notch filtering and restrained processing help preserve body resonance while controlling piezo harshness and feedback. Balanced outputs may also carry the corrected signal directly to a mixer or interface.

Analogue

The signal is shaped by continuously varying electronic circuitry rather than being converted into a digital effect algorithm. Component choice, operating voltage and circuit tolerances influence headroom, noise, clipping texture and the small variations in response between designs.
