Here’s what Fender say about the Full Moon Dual Pedal:

Packed with brutal, high-gain tone and soundshaping options galore, the Full Moon Distortion pedal has everything you need to unleash sonic mayhem. Both symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping modes are lurking under the Texture switch while the Bite switch shifts the upper midrange and harmonics to bring out your pick attack, letting you cut and chug through the mix
with ease.

The 3-Band EQ lets you dial in your sound to taste, while the flexible Hi-Treble control shapes your high end. The second footswitch kicks in up to +12dB of snarling post-gain Boost. Designed by our in-house team of experts, the Full Moon Distortion is an all-original circuit.

We consulted with a plethora of players while designing this pedal, and the resulting stompbox is packed with stage-ready features. The chassis is crafted from lightweight, durable anodized aluminum, and the Amp Jewel LED gives your pedalboard the classic Fender look. The LEDbacklit knobs show your control settings on a dark stage at a glance. We even made swapping batteries quicker and easier with our exclusive “patent applied for,” magnetically latched 9V battery door.

Growling with ultra-flexible sound, the Full Moon Distortion is everything you need to add barking, high-gain distortion to your arsenal.

Distortion Pedals

Distortion clips the waveform more firmly than overdrive, generating dense upper harmonics, longer sustain and a more compressed response. Circuit topology and filtering decide whether the sound is tight and focused, broad and aggressive, smooth or deliberately abrasive. Gain sets the amount of clipping, while pre- and post-distortion tone controls strongly influence low-end definition, midrange presence and high-frequency texture.

Can operate from an internal replaceable battery, usually with different available current and running time from an external supply. Battery chemistry, access and automatic disconnection through the input socket affect practical runtime and storage. High-current digital processing generally shortens battery life more sharply than a simple analogue circuit.
