It’s a bold claim when you announce that your pedal is the “Most Valuable Pedal” but when you consider how versatile this pedal allows you to be you have to consider its claims.

The MVP Pedal lets you customise the range of the volume swell, most pedals go from 0 to 100% but the MVP allows you to adjust the bottom range to be 0 to 50% and at the top you can add 20db of Gain so instead of 0 to 100 you could now go 50 to 120%

Here’s what Ernie Ball say about the MVP Volume Pedal

Minimum volume control allows for the heel position to be set at zero up to 50% for any rhythm level. Gain control allows for the toe position to be set at 100% up to a boosted 20+ decibels of gain for powerful lead levels. Tuner output can be used at any volume, with any tuner, without any effect on audio signal. No high frequency loss at any volume. Works with active and passive audio signals. Can be placed anywhere in the signal chain. Improved sweep for ideal volume control, 9v batttery or AC adapter powered. (adapter not included)

Boost Pedals

Boost pedals increase your signal level, helping solos stand out, pushing an amplifier harder or adding extra presence to your tone. Some boosts are clean and transparent, while others add colour, midrange, grit or brightness depending on the circuit design.

A boost pedal can be used before overdrive to add saturation, after drive pedals for a volume lift, or at the start of the chain to strengthen the guitar signal. It is one of the simplest but most useful pedals for live players and tone-shapers alike.

Volume Pedals

Volume and expression pedals give real-time foot control over level, swells and effect parameters. A volume pedal can create smooth fade-ins and control overall signal level, while an expression pedal can adjust delay feedback, modulation speed, pitch, filter sweep or other assignable settings.

These pedals are valuable for ambient players, live performers and anyone who wants more movement and control from their effects. They make a pedalboard feel more interactive and can turn static sounds into expressive, evolving textures.

Boost pedals and related effects are commonly used by guitarists looking to shape their tone in a more focused and creative way. Different designs offer their own response, feel and tonal character depending on the style of music and the type of amplifier or guitar being used.

Many players build pedalboards gradually over time, combining different effects and utilities to create a setup that suits their own sound and workflow. Boost related gear can play an important role in both live performance and studio recording.
