Sonicake

Sonicake is a Changsha, Hunan gear maker with a catalogue spanning compact effects, multi-effects processors, bass and acoustic preamps, headphone tools and accessories. Its official FAQ says its products are manufactured and packaged in Changsha. The JustPedals selection reflects that mix: the QEP-10 FlipWah combines wah and volume functions, the QME-20 Smart Box is a multi-effects processor, and listings also include adapters and headphone amplifiers. Check whether a Sonicake listing is a pedal, processor or supporting accessory before comparing it with a conventional single-effect stompbox.

Multi Effects

Multi-effects units combine several processing blocks, such as drive, modulation, delay, reverb, pitch and amp modelling, in one device. They can save space and provide presets, scenes, USB recording, MIDI control or direct outputs, but the signal path and editing depth vary widely. Check the available blocks, simultaneous effects, footswitch assignments, expression inputs, latency, power supply and cabinet simulation. A compact multi-effects unit may be ideal for travel or backup, while a larger model can act as the centre of a complete rig.

Multi-effects products combine several processing blocks, such as drive, modulation, delay, reverb, pitch and amp modelling, in one unit. The available effects list is only part of the decision: compare simultaneous blocks, signal path, preset and scene recall, footswitch assignments, expression, MIDI, USB, latency and direct outputs. A compact unit can suit travel or backup, while a larger model may act as the centre of a complete amplifier or recording setup.
