Profiling

Profiling is the process of digitally capturing the unique tone and response of an amplifier or effects setup, allowing players to recreate that exact sound without the physical gear. Using advanced signal analysis, profilers like the Kemper or Quad Cortex measure how an amp reacts to different input signals and generate a precise digital copy, or ‘profile’. These profiles can then be stored, shared, and modified, giving guitarists access to a vast library of authentic amp tones in one compact device.
