Here's what Voodoo Lab say about the Pedal Power 3:

Pedal Power 3 is the first lightweight, high current, international voltage power supply to deliver zero-noise performance. Its innovative Hybrid DC Transformer design integrates exotic components, linear regulation, and computer optimized filtering to establish industry-leading audiophile quality power that unveils the hidden sonic potential of any rig. From standard battery-operated pedals to modern high current DSP effects, Pedal Power 3 combines the best of time-tested analog engineering with cutting-edge technology to produce the cleanest, most reliable power in the business.

All Isolated Outputs

Equipped with eight galvanically isolated DC outputs, Pedal Power 3 eliminates ground hum and unwanted interaction between pedals. Each output supplies 9V DC with two featuring a voltage selector switch for 12V DC operation. 18V and 24V pedals can be powered by combining outputs with an optional voltage doubler cable or adapter.

Powerful

Each Pedal Power 3 output delivers up to 500mA of current to supply power-hungry modern DSP effects. Audiophile specifications also ensure the musical character of the most sensitive vintage stompboxes is preserved. This wide spectrum of flexibility with each output means less guesswork when connecting your pedals..

Expandable

Never run out of outputs. Pedal Power 3 features two X-LINK expansion ports for adding up to 16 isolated outs. Simply connect a Pedal Power X4 or X8 to X-LINK to expand the capacity of your power supply as your pedalboard grows.

Goes Anywhere

The low-profile, ultra-lightweight design of Pedal Power 3 easily mounts to any pedalboard, adding an almost undetectable amount of weight. Operating at any input voltage 100V-240VAC, Pedal Power 3 makes international touring convenient and hassle-free. No voltage converters needed. Just hit the road, plug in, and rock out.

Voodoo Lab

Voodoo Lab is best known for building reliable pedalboard infrastructure, particularly power supplies that have become a standard in touring and professional rigs. The focus is on electrical stability, isolation, and long-term dependability rather than novelty. Their designs are conservative in the best sense — proven solutions refined over time.

Voodoo Lab serves up the essentials that keep everything else behaving properly. Clean power, predictable performance, and no unnecessary complications. These products suit players who understand that a good board is built from the ground up, and that the quiet, unseen parts often matter more than the flashy ones.

Pedal Power Supplies

A pedal power supply converts mains or battery power into the regulated DC outputs required by an effects board. True isolated outputs break ground paths and reduce interaction between pedals, while daisy chains share a common supply. Each output must match voltage, polarity and current demand; switchable voltages, high-current sockets, IEC or external adapters and mounting dimensions affect compatibility.

Analogue

The signal is shaped by continuously varying electronic circuitry rather than being converted into a digital effect algorithm. Component choice, operating voltage and circuit tolerances influence headroom, noise, clipping texture and the small variations in response between designs.

Hybrid

Combines analogue and digital stages within one signal or control design. A digital section may provide memory, routing or modelling while analogue circuitry supplies clipping, filtering or amplification, so the order and blend of the two domains shape the final response.
