Introducing the Warm Bender, a germanium fuzz pedal that accurately recreates two of the most iconic Tone Bender fuzz tones plus a bonus modern tone all in one stomp box!

Key Features

  • 3 Fuzz Tones, all in 1 Pedal! – A pedal packed to the brim with different fuzz tones, meaning you probably never need another fuzz pedal!
  • SAG Switch – The SAG switch recreates the special and unique sound of the original Tone Bender-style fuzz pedals when the batteries would die or the power was starved.

The first one is an accurate representation of the earliest Tone Bender fuzz. The second fuzz is the Mark II Professional-style fuzz tone, and finally a bonus silicon 3-transistor topology circuit for a more modern take on this legendary flavour of fuzz.

Tonal Qualities

Like the original silver and black BOX Tone Bender style of fuzz, the NOS 76 setting on Warm Bender delivers aggressive fuzz with raw grit and sharp attack.

The second selectable circuit is a three-transistor fuzz with (3X) NOS OC75 transistors. Compared to the NOS 76 setting, the NOS 75 setting on Warm Bender boasts thunderous bass with smooth, wooly, and fat fuzz tones. Like the original 3-transistor, Professional MKII / OC75-based British fuzz pedal, the NOS 75 setting on Warm Bender reveals a saturated, round, “darker” sound.

The third selectable circuit, the Silicon circuit, takes the 3-transistor topology similar to the NOS 75 setting but replaces the Germanium transistors with modern, silicon components. This setting acts as a bridge between traditional Tone Bender fuzz and more modern distortion-like tone delivering smoother sustain, natural compression, and fuzz that plays nice in the mix.

Additionally, their range of preamps and processors, such as the WA-2A compressor, is designed to give users the warmth and character typically associated with classic analog gear, making Warm Audio a go-to brand for musicians and producers who want top-notch sound without breaking the bank.

Fuzz

A fuzz pedal is one of the earliest and most aggressive forms of distortion, turning your clean guitar signal into a thick, saturated wall of sound. It works by clipping the waveform almost flat, creating a compressed, gritty tone full of harmonic overtones. The result is raw, unruly, and unmistakable — from the sputtering breakup of vintage germanium circuits to the searing sustain of modern silicon designs. Fuzz pedals react strongly to your guitar’s volume and pickup choice, making them dynamic tools for expressive players.

Whether you’re chasing the classic tones of Hendrix and the Smashing Pumpkins or exploring heavy, experimental textures, fuzz remains a favourite for its personality and unpredictability. It can sound smooth and sustaining, or wild and velcro-like, depending on how it’s set up. A good fuzz pedal cuts through the mix while adding thickness and attitude, turning any riff or lead line into something bold and unmistakably alive.
