In 2021, music hardware/software experts Universal Audio launched their UAFX line of guitar effects pedals — bringing the same class-leading innovation and ease-of-use of its pro audio products to a tactile, plug-and-play stompbox format. The range has been expanded with the addition of the Del-Verb Ambience Companion, which packs ready-to-wear emulations of classic reverb and delay effects in a compact 2-in-1 pedal designed for immediate inspiration.

Desert Island Reverbs & Delays, All In One Box!

From the tube-driven springs of an American mid-’60s combo, to the haunting sound of a German plate reverb and the lushness of an ’80s digital studio classic — Universal Audio’s UAFX Del-Verb gives you the same reverb algorithms found in their award-winning Golden Reverberator pedal.

And it doesn’t end there. Along with these reverbs, the Del-Verb comes equipped with the definitive delay effects found in UA’s Starlight Echo Station. This means that you can attain the warm repeats of a ’70s Maestro EP-III tape echo, the thick colour of an Electro-Harmonix Memory Man, or UA’s modern-sounding ‘Precision Delay’.

Dual Stereo Effect Engines

The UAFX Del-Verb Ambience Companion’s powerful engine runs separate stereo instances of each reverb and delay — letting you creatively combine effects with stunning three-dimensional stereo depth that is practically unmatched by any other stompbox.

UAFX 2.0 Update: MIDI Control, Better Bluetooth, Expanded Presets & More

Using the rear panel USB-to-MIDI connection*, UAFX pedals fit right into your programmable MIDI rig — receiving preset changes, BPM clock sync and more! Here’s everything you get out of the free update:

  • USB MIDI control: Bring your live shows to life with USB MIDI support providing 128 recallable presets, MIDI BPM clock sync and real-time expression.
  • Wired USB app control: Control your pedals via the UAFX app over a wired USB connection (iOS or Android), offering another robust option for managing settings.
  • Improved Bluetooth connectivity: Ground-up redesign of UAFX app control over Bluetooth, for improved reliability.
  • Footswitch options: Switch between more presets on UAFX Amp Pedals using powerful new performance modes like Live, Tour (A/Bypass-B/Bypass) and A/B-C/D.

*Requires a compatible USB MIDI host, controller, or interface. Control of multiple UAFX pedals will require an additional USB hub. Click here to learn more.

In the current JustPedals catalogue, Universal Audio is represented by Reverb Pedals, Pedal Amps & Headphone Amps and Compressor Pedals. Current listings include Brigade Chorus, Lion 68 Super Lead Amp and UAFX. That makes the range relevant to players looking for drive, gain and clipping, plus time-based effects and ambience. Check each model for its exact circuit or processing platform, controls, power requirements and connections, particularly where the catalogue includes both pedals and supporting gear.

Category

Delay & Reverb Pedals

Delay and reverb pedals create space by repeating or surrounding the dry signal with reflections. Delay time, feedback and filtering set the rhythm and character of repeats, while reverb decay, pre-delay, damping and diffusion shape the sense of room or distance. Combined units can save pedalboard space and provide presets, but the routing may be serial, parallel, stereo or mono-summed. Check spillover, tap tempo, trails, mix range and stereo connections if the effect will be used live or into a mixer.

Digital

Digital products use conversion and processing to create, store or control the effect. This can provide presets, complex routing, repeatable algorithms, USB, MIDI and firmware features, but conversion, latency, power requirements and clocking depend on the design. Check the input and output levels, sample or impulse-response support, bypass behaviour and current draw when combining a digital unit with analogue pedals or a direct recording setup.

Stereo

Stereo products provide separate left and right audio paths, which may widen modulation, preserve independent delays or route a pedalboard into two amplifiers or a mixer. Input and output behaviour is not always symmetrical: some units sum a stereo input, while others create stereo from a mono source. Check whether the effect collapses safely to mono, how the dry signal is routed, the socket format and the destination’s panning and phase requirements.
