The Fjord Fuzz Loke, named after the Norse god of mischief, gives you two almost identical signals with each one having enough output to drive your preamp into overdrive. One of the signals has a slight tape tint to it and can be shifted in time by either 0-100mS or 0-400mS. You can quickly switch between delay modes via the secondary footswitch, and the expression control gives you the option of warping the time parameter with hands-free operation.

Fjord Fuzz also added a very exciting random LFO using the least-significant-bits method of calculation, as well as a sort of servo control for the delay time operation. All of this together offers you the full suite of exciting effects found on old-school reel-to-reel tape gear, but perhaps even more intriguing, it lets you dwell within the spaces left between the classic staples of recording tricks and discover new and wonderful textures never heard before!

Experimental Tape Delay Textures & More!

Want that old Beatles-style tape flange trick where your producer holds his thumb against the tape? Here it is! Want lo-fi warped vinyl textures transforming your clean signal? Loke will do that too! Want beautiful flanger, chorus or vibrato, but don't want to be locked to a set LFO? With the random LFO, there's no need for syncing. Distorted tape delays? Yes. Artificial stereo-widening double tracking? That too. Faux reverb? Definitely. Percussive, authentic-sounding tape echo with machine errors? Yes. Distant, haunting whale calls for your ambient outfit or full wet delay for your recording rig? Loke is your friend!

About Fjord Fuzz

Fjord Fuzz are a tiny boutique pedal brand based in Bergen, Norway. Built "by real musicians for real musicians" — in their own words — Fjord's unique circuits completely warp your guitar's signal with glitchy, tone-altering, high-gain filth!

The company's speaker-shredding stompboxes are solely designed for experimental guitarists who crave the most extreme of tones, and frankly — they have to be heard to be believed! Engulfing walls of fuzzy bliss, self-oscillating pitch bends and sub-octave bellows make Fjord Fuzz's products far from conventional — and we mean that in the nicest way possible!

Delay Pedals

Delay pedals repeat your guitar signal to create echoes, rhythmic patterns and spacious textures. They can be used subtly to add depth, or more dramatically for dotted-eighth repeats, slapback rockabilly sounds, ambient layers and experimental soundscapes.

Different delay types offer very different characters, from warm analogue repeats to clean digital echoes and tape-style modulation. A delay pedal is one of the most creative tools on a pedalboard because it can support simple lead lines, fill space in a mix and completely transform a part.

Fuzz Pedals

Fuzz pedals produce a thick, saturated and often unruly form of distortion with a character all of its own. From smooth vintage sustain to gated, spluttering and synth-like textures, fuzz is one of the most expressive and distinctive effects in guitar history.

Players use fuzz for psychedelic rock, garage, stoner rock, doom, indie, shoegaze and experimental sounds. It can feel more like an instrument than a normal drive pedal, responding strongly to guitar volume, pickup choice and playing dynamics.

Delay

Delay pedals repeat the guitar signal to create echoes, rhythmic patterns and spacious textures ranging from short slapback repeats through to huge ambient soundscapes. Different delay styles such as analogue, digital and tape-inspired circuits all produce their own character and response.

Delay is one of the most creative effects available because it can add depth, groove and atmosphere without overwhelming the original guitar tone. It is widely used across rock, blues, indie, ambient, progressive and experimental music.

Fuzz

Fuzz pedals create thick saturated distortion with a raw and highly expressive character that differs significantly from standard overdrive or distortion pedals. Vintage-inspired fuzz circuits remain hugely influential in psychedelic rock, doom, garage, shoegaze and experimental music.

Different fuzz designs respond very differently to pickups, guitar volume and playing dynamics, allowing players to move between smooth sustain, gated textures and aggressive spluttering tones.
