Origin effects have taken the idea of an amp in a box and ran with it. Not content to just approximate the sound. In the Origin Effects RevivalDRIVE Compact theyve recreated every part of the signal path in non-master volume amplifiers. This allows you to recreate and come up with amazing amp tones ranging from classic 50s American amps to British vintage amps or something completely new. This is a very intuitive pedal that is essentially a stripped-down version of the original RevivalDRIVE but in a much more pedal board friendly design. You can adjust everything from the amount of low-end distortion to altering the amount of negative feedback in the power stage.

Origin Effects
Origin Effects was founded in 2012 by Simon Keats, whose first pedal design recreated the response of a UREI 1176 studio compressor. That design became the Cali76 and set the direction for a range that combines studio-inspired compression with analogue amp recreations and drive. JustPedals listings include the RevivalDRIVE Compact, MAGMA57, DELUXE61, DCX Bass and Halcyon Gold. Origin says every pedal is hand-built and listen-tested at its factory in Buckingham, England. Its products are designed for players who want detailed control over compressor response, amp character and familiar studio tones.

Specialist Effects Pedals
Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.
