The Warm Audio Peach Fuzz is an octave fuzz pedal for guitarists chasing chunky riffs expressive leads and vintage-inspired saturation. Developed with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys it takes Warm Audios 70s Foxy-style fuzz and adds customised octave-up switching for extra performance control. Select latching operation to keep the octave effect engaged or use the momentary setting to bring it in for specific notes riffs and solos. Its Mellow/Brite control moves through lower-gain grit thick fuzz and heavier sounds complemented by dedicated Volume and Sustain controls. Inside NOS Fairchild 2N3565 transistors Germanium 1N34A diodes carbon resistors and film capacitors recreate key elements of the original circuit. The peach-coloured shag velvet enclosure references The Black Keys 2026 album “Peaches!” while true bypass operation and standard 9V powering make the pedal straightforward to add to your board.

Brand
Warm Audio
Warm Audio began with founder Bryce Young’s aim of making the sounds of classic recording equipment more accessible through recreations of well-known analogue designs. The company remains rooted in studio gear, with microphones, preamps and compressors alongside a focused guitar-pedal range. Centavo revisits a sought-after overdrive, Foxy Tone Box is an octave fuzz, Mutation Phasor II is an optical phaser and Warmdrive is an amp-inspired overdrive. JustPedals listings include these models alongside ODD and WA-CV Centavo. The pedal line carries the company’s broader approach into guitar effects by pairing familiar circuit references with practical modern formats.

Fuzz Pedals
Fuzz drives the signal into extreme clipping, often flattening the waveform and generating a thick spectrum of harmonics. Transistor type, bias, input loading and tone filtering create markedly different responses, from loose and velvety to gated, spluttering or octave-rich. Some circuits interact strongly with pickup impedance and guitar volume, while others include buffers or blends for a more consistent response.
Tags
True Bypass
Connects input directly to output through mechanical or relay switching when the effect is off, removing the active circuit from the audio path. It avoids buffer colour but leaves cable capacitance and switching design to influence high-frequency loss and possible switching noise.
