The Fortin NATAS High Gain Pre-Amp Distortion is a ferociously aggressive distortion and preamp pedal designed to recreate one of Fortins most legendary amplifier tones in a pedal. Inspired directly by the NATAS amplifier the pedal delivers the crushing saturation massive low-end authority and razor-sharp articulation that made the original amp such a legend. Rather than functioning like a conventional distortion pedal the NATAS uses multiple cascading gain stages and highly responsive active tone shaping to deliver the feel depth and dynamic response of a high-gain amplifier. The pedal features an active three-band EQ additional Kill gain boost Mid Shape switching and Fortins unique Girth and Grind controls for exceptional tonal flexibility. Girth and Grind target key frequencies to enhance low-end punch upper-mid attack and overall responsiveness helping riffs feel tighter and more aggressive under the fingers. The Mid Shape switch allows players to choose between more traditional mid-forward voicings or heavily scooped modern metal tones while the Kill boost introduces an additional gain stage for even more saturation and harmonic intensity.
