‘The Kochness Monster is a pared-down, throw-and-go, orange-clad warrior of the sonic night. Four delicious flavors of JAM pedal glory to get the job done in the service of ROCK!’ – Greg Koch

We are proud to share the culmination of a 15-year-long partnership between the legendary Greg Koch and JAM pedals, built on mutual love, admiration, and respect for each other’s work.

The Kochness Monster is Greg’s ultimate on-the-go remedy, designed with ease of travel in mind and equipped with the essential set of effects to get Greg comfortably through any gig or session scenario.

Jam Pedals

JAM Pedals began in Athens in 2005 as guitarist Jannis Anastasakis’s workshop. The team still hand-builds, hand-paints and inspects its pedals in Athens, Greece, and offers a custom shop for point-to-point wiring and special builds. Its catalogue combines effects rooted in familiar analogue circuits with more individual designs. JustPedals listings include the Lucydreamer overdrive, Dyna-ssor compressor, Ripple phaser, Chill tremolo and bass-specific Lucydreamer. The distinctive finishes reflect the company’s craft process; the pedals themselves span drive, dynamics, modulation and other expressive sounds.

Specialist Effects Pedals

Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.

Tap Tempo

Measures repeated foot taps and converts their interval into an effect rate or delay time. Subdivisions translate that pulse into dotted, triplet or other rhythmic values, while averaging and range limits influence how quickly and accurately the tempo settles.
